Baptist Neighborhood Hospital - Thousand Oaks's Online Review Report Card

My husband went to this ER with back pain and received a shot. We were there for about 30-60 minutes. We were charged over $3,000 (after ins) for the shot and majority was for "using their facility " the dr was billed separately for another outrageous amount. His 3 day stay at Methodist hospital for a separate incident wasn't too much more than their bill. So basically we were charged thousands just to walk in the building. This is not ok and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing this to people. We will be pursuing this. We are not trying to get out of paying what we owe, but refuse to let them overcharge us. This was not a "level 4". BS. Should be shut down.

I will NEVER use use this ER Hospital again. The bill  that I received was $3866.00 almost $4k...  In Network. Was seen for 30 minutes ONLY and sent home with a prescription.

I have had several procedures at Mission Trails Baptist Hospital and although I have seen several bad reviews I have had nothing but great experiences there.  From the CNA's to the Nurses to the Doctors.  I have gone there in February, June, July, August, October, and twice in December.  Not once of these times can I complain about the medical staff.  I have received the best treatment from everyone and can't thank them enough!!!!!!!  As for the charges/fees, they are no more expensive than any other hospital I have been to this year, no more unsanitary, and every one has their bad apples some more than others, this is not one of them.  Over all I am very pleased with the staff.

They knew that I thought I was at an urgent care type facility and still let me sit here for 2 hours to diagnose nasal drip.... Their goal was to bill my insurance for  the ER visit. TOTAL SCUM BAGS!

We were recently traveling and while in Texas needed assistance with what we already knew (x-ray) was a broken hand. The people who greeted us in reception were professional and very caring. I'm sorry we did not get the name of those who helped us with a solution for the necessary splint but this type of care is what hospitals should aspire to. Their primary concern was helping us with the injury. We left relieved that we found the exact medical care that we needed, even though we were from out of town.

Well I will not be returning to this hospital. My experience was terrible . The staff at this place is very very rude and comes off as brash and unperfesional . Where do I start. Oh yes the the started things off very bad  her name was Tonya she came in agressive and acted as if she was the doctor she sat an the counter top like next to the sink. Told me to cut off the TV which I thought was rude seeing I had a young child with me was keeping her occupied so we would be able to communicate about why I was here. She went even further to extend her rude and agressivness. By just cutting off the water in the middle of my child washing her hands which were covered in soap . She was being a mean lady to my 6 u r old  ! She then made it clear after I explained the resson for my visit  today that .they were not a full on facility that I should I look for care or treatment from whenever I have medical issues . I felt really bad that I don't have medical coverage at this time to a dress my medical needs  with a primary care doctor. HOWEVER I was in extreme pain and in need of care . She flat out told me I would not be getting any x-rays done and ask me when my last menstral cycle was i told her i have one every month and i didnt know the exact date but ruffly three weeks ago . She then said i need to give a urine test in case there is any chance i may be pregnant. I told i was 100 % sure im not because i practice selabucy . Im not sexualy active and i dont have sex. She seemed agrivated that i have an exact date. Having had three kids already , im sure i would know if i were. She made a big issue when it should not have been. So the x ray tech AJ comes in makes sarcastic remarks and ask me if I'm able to give a urine sample I told him I said I didn't need one  don't need a high as pregnancy test from the hospital for 50 .00 bucks when I can go to the dollar store. He sounded stupid ! He's like are u sure u don't wanna give a urine sample just in case I may be prego. AGAIN I told him in three different ways. I'm certain I'm not pregnant 1.) I have to have a partner to make it with which I don't have 2). I don't  have sex . 3)I haven't had sex in the past year .he said yards  never know because now days they have machines ..???? What???? I'm not going to nor have been to a fertility facility treatment center in my life ??? Off his rockers!!!  I never mentioned I'm looking to get pregnant.he was nice to my kid. And now the doctor They asked  me a high volume of personal questions which were none of the dotors the nurses or the x ray techs business  I felt interigated !!!!!!! They never gave me any pain medication at the hospital which would of been great because it was so late I couldn't get my prescription filled so I'm up ,late typing this because I'm in pain . The doctor made me feel  like I wasn't in as much pain as I was and he didn't have real answers because I didn't have the proof or paper work detailing my chronic on going condition on hand for him to look at. Who carries around a file folder listing different doctors copies of x rays and Mri's from other doctors or facilities on them . So he can do his job. His work shouldn't be based on what coraspondance. From other doctors or facilities. He asked me the name of my attorny? which law firm my car accident case is being delt out of . ?What all medicaton im on ? The names of the facility's I recived treatment? Where my Mri where done at ? I couldn't name them . My attorneys book and arrange all that my attorney says that how it works.which it does threw letter of protection. Which  from his point of view I get it . My situation is touchy . So he's being careful.maybe he doesn't want to cross another doctor or mess up my case by contradicting another doctor . Today to say the least I just incurred another high ass. Er bill for nothing I didn't get any help or answers or medicine for my pain. I got there at 645 left at 940.. high way robbery this place is close to my home is the reason I went here. I'm telling everyone to stay away my last bill from here was 12,ooo.oo
