Unfortunately we were not able to set up an appointment with this office. We heard many great things about Dr Mccash, we were referred over for my daughters hemangioma, she is 9 months old. We just moved to San Antonio, and just dealing with their staff for scheduling and then the administrative assistant… terrible. I was inquiring about if the Dr prescribes the medication for my daughter since the appointment for her to be seen wouldn’t be until late august and she’s almost out of her meds that she NEEDS. The reason for the inquiring was to know and to plan wether or not one I needed her pediatrician to send another referral to a derm doc to get this prescribed or two see if her old doctor can send a refill. The initial girl that took my call was rude even before I explained the reason for the visit, she didn’t even ask who the patient was or what the referral indicated, then she was not educated enough to understand what I was asking, but kept saying the doctor can’t prescribe a medication when he hasn’t seen the patient. Which I know. I was just trying to plan ahead and asking wether the doc prescribes this certain medication there was all I needed to know, because if he didn’t then I can make sure I do what is needed so my daughter can have the meds she needs. She didn’t ask what meds, she didn’t say “I’ll ask the nurse and I can get some more information and give you a call right back” Then the administrative assistant can’t recall his name, was helpful until he wasn’t. So I cancelled the referral, called her old doctor for a refill, and got her set up with another highly recommended doc with a sweet staff and a much sooner appointment, given her age and her diagnosis.

Compared to 4 years ago, the wait time has tremendously improved. The staff is nice as usual, Dr. Mc Cash is very friendly, and is detailed with explaining procedures.

My initial experience with this office is not a good one. I waited six weeks to get my toddler an appointment only for it to be canceled two days before. Upon calling to reschedule I was given ANOTHER six weeks out appointment! So it's going to be three months from my initial request to see Dr. McCash before actually seeing him. Not to mention the assistant that took my call was rude. I've never had to wait this long to have a specialist see any of my three children.

Stop giving dr. Mc Cash one star for wait times. Complain much?

This place is excellent. Very friendly staff. Been seeing Dr. McCash for the last 17 year for my son.

Dr.McCash is absolutely amazing. My 2 year old had double strabismus surgery 08/06/21 and the surgery couldn’t of been better. Her eyes have healed beautifully and she hasn’t had any problems crossing her eyes since that day. He is a blessing. Yes the wait can be long but it is so worth it.

De. McCash is an AMAZING doctor I have know him since I was a baby he basically watched me grow up, I love the staff here and would never think anything less of them.

Dr.McCash treated my Amblyopia from a very young age and even did surgery on my mother for her eye since she was past the point of correcting with out surgery. My mom went to multiple Ophthalmologist because she was concerned I had the same condition as her and out of four Dr.s McCash hit the nail on the head and started treatment. I understand wait times can be bad with small children but honestly you get what you wish for. He is thorough in his exams and the quality and progress in vision reflect this. I’ve recently moved to an adult Eye doctor unfortunately and the exams are not nearly as thorough not even close but the waits are short. ^i wonder why^ A doctor who can turn mill patients is not a doctor you want to see especially for something like your children’s eyes, I’ve gotten improper prescriptions and now my condition has become a problem when it was absolutely manageable prior. The wait may be frustrating with your kids but it’s worth it for a doctor that will seat with you and make sure you get the right treatment.
