List of Choice Health At Home's Reviews
My husband’s physical health had deteriorated after successive hospitalizations. We chose Choice HH because my husband had received outpatient services with Megan R., PT and she was part of the Choice team. We made contact with Jared Mayfield, Admissions Liaison. He was professional, compassionate and understanding of our situation. Very knowledgeable of the medical aspects of my husband’s conditions and how Choice’s integrated approaches would provide the care my husband needed. Cheryl, the Speech Therapist was amazing and of course Megan was excellent. The Nursing team was in regular contact and provision of all services was seamless. I cannot say enough to express my appreciation for the entire Choice team and will highly recommend their services.
They are never on time and expect you to extend your day with them with no regards to whether or not I have another doctor's appointment
Choice Home Health is a superb provider of Home Health services. Their nurse Charlene is an utmost professional, communicates often and clearly to ensure patient care is provided at the highest level possible.
Charlene has been so wonderful to work with, she’s timely and attentive.. it’s people like her that make healthcare better for our San Antonio patients.
We have used home health a few times in the past for my parents with other companies and it was okay. Our experience with Choice Health at Home has been phenomenal, like a blessing filled with pleasant surprises, positivity, reliability, and people who actually care. Our PT is Christian and there aren’t words to express how much gratitude I have for his expertise and general perfection in his profession. My mom actually looked forward to having him come for therapy and had this sort of glowing confidence and motivation that appeared after each visit. He’s amazing, truly. Courtney was our first nurse and she went above and beyond what one would expect as the “call of duty” and likely saved my mom’s life by insisting we go back to the hospital when we couldn’t get a hold of her doctor’s. She called me back after hours and worked with me via text to ensure my mom’s meds were in order and her responsiveness was impeccable and I’m not sure what we would have done otherwise. Mary and Alex were the two other nurses and they were both so patient and positive as much of their time often had to be spent waiting on hold for the doctor’s office after they had completed their work and likely had other places they needed to be. In short, if you have a loved one needing home health- this is the right choice 100%
by law they have to inform person in advance of any cost for services. they will tell you no cost and then send a bill insisting you owe money. the staff is rude when make attempt for resolution. seems they only about the money . i would advise to use another group or you may be harrassed for invalid payments!
After an unexpected hospital stay, we had a home nurse visit several times a week for wound care and in home physical therapy. Our nurse Mary and the Nurse supervisor Courtney were both amazing, and the PT Supervisor Christian and the physical therapist Candace were also awesome! It was a great team of people that helped us recover and make so much progress. Very reliable, and highly qualified, caring people. It’s not a service you ever want to have, but it is such a blessing to have had it there when we needed it.
Steer clear! My husband fell in the kitchen on Friday morning and landed on his head on the tile floor. We spent the day in the ER. All of the scans were negative and we were sent home that evening. He was very unsteady on his feet and unable to get out of a chair by himself and unable to walk. On Saturday morning, I called Choice, whom we had worked with before. The woman I spoke to told me that they wouldn’t be able to come until Monday, but that she would get someone started working on the intake process. On Monday I called and spoke to a man who had no record of my call on Saturday. He said he would get the paperwork started, but there’s was no way the could get him on service that day. On Tuesday morning I called again and spoke to the same man. He told me that they had been unable to get the required paperwork because of the holiday weekend. Holiday weekend? Mother’s Day? Are you kidding? He told me that he couldn’t guarantee that they would get him started that day. I said, “I called you on Saturday because I needed help on Saturday. I needed help on Sunday. I needed help on Monday. I need help today, and you’re telling me you can’t guarantee that I’ll get it?” He politely said, ”No, ma’am. I can’t guarantee it.” I said, “Then I’m done with you. I’ll find someone else. “. I received a text from him a little while later telling me that they were working on the paperwork, but that he still couldn’t guarantee that we would get help that day. I asked him to please remove us from his lists, as I had contacted another agency. Those were four of the most difficult and exhausting days of my life. Needless to say, they will never be our “Choice” again.
Well they called me in the hospital I told him I was getting out the next day they said they would call me and have someone come over I didn't get a call for another week then they said they would call me back they didn't call me back until 2 days before my 2-week post op with my doctor, they said they wanted to come out the next day. That is just ridiculous. I really could have used them in the beginning when I first got out of the hospital because I didn't have anybody get on my senior
Nurse didn’t respect when told not to come. Nurse pretty much speed up my mother’s death by administering the wrong medication and not taking her blood pressure correctly. Hospice is meant to make the patient comfortable and it was nothing comfortable for her because of this nurses error she felt horrible and there wasn’t much else we could do for her. Just the worst experience ever, would not recommend or use choice ever again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
