List of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center's Reviews
My father in law is in the hospital following a six hour surgery. He cannot get the staff to assist with his personal care needs. What he is receiving is not care. It is neglect and a violation of his federal patient rights. Santa Rosa makes it impossible to find any help beyond the nursing staff. Is anyone in charge? Does anyone care? Quality can’t be measured if it is nonexistent. Shame on this hospital, it’s leadership and staff.
My son went there saw the woman physician today and she didn’t even Do any bloodwork all she did is tak hey stool sample. Said the medicine that urgent care gave him was the same thing she’s going to give land give another medicine along with Imodium that you get over-the-counter. Two weeks he’s had a nonstop diarrhea what kind of a doctor is she that she doesn’t run any type of bloodwork that is very unprofessional and to me I don’t think she should be working in any hospital any place. She said his potassium might be down but never took a blood test so what is she God she knows what’s going on with him if you run no Test.No two weeks of diarrhea could be dysentery. Doctor was Jessica Lopez🤬😡
Worst hospital I've even been to. The nurses made fun of me within earshot and while I was in extreme pain they just kept mocking me. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would in a heart beat!! They do NOT separate covid patients from non covid patients. They will put you in the same room with someone who tested postive! They don't spray anything down or wipe anything down after one person leaves. Ask for them to wipe it down and they said nah don't have anything. They wanted to swab me in the same room as a covid patient until I said NO!DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Worst ER that I have ever been to. I went in with vomiting, falling, twitching post back surgery. When I arrived I was told to get in the wheelchair but they did not offer assistance to get into to the wheelchair. My brother was given an lecture the admitting person on why he should be wearing a mask. They provided a mask. They started an IV and did not check on me. The IV came out and leaked, soaking me and the bed. There was no one at the desk to ask for assistance. They did not offer me a pillow. My brother got a pillow for me and changed my gown and bed. He also gave me a urinal. They did a EKG and X-rays. They said I was dehydrated and sent me home. I will never return to this ER nor will I recommend it. I notified Guy Fogel, M.D. that had referred me there, of the above.
Thank you for the excellent care. We were in a pickle when we came and the staff was on it. The floor nurses were excellent. The custodial staff kept everything clean. Dr Yan Meng took excellent care. She gave us the best care possible. Thanks everyone and have a great holiday season
To begin, my partner was scheduled and sent for surgery to remove a tumor for biopsy. During preparation, the doctor and the nurses on the floor took him up for surgery, only to bring him back down. When we asked why the surgery was not done, they stated that no one knew he was placed on a blood thinner. I didn't quite understand how doctors and nurses forget that they put a patient on heparin. So the surgery was delayed by a day. Mind you my partner is battling cancer.Oh, days prior to surgery a CT Scan and an MRI was completed. We waited a week before we were provided with any information. From the CT Scan, MRI, and surgery we were provided a run around by all the nurses and doctors. When we inquired about his diagnosis, we had to constantly wait for the doctor...who would only show up once a day or not at all. It was absolutely frustrating, because different doctors were coming in, looking at my partner, walk out and literally provide no information on what they're doing, or the severity of the diagnosis. It wasn't until I was irritated by the lack of communication did I make a point to be adequately informed and contacted the director of the hospital. After a week, some of the nurses and the designated case manager for my partner provided some insight on transfering to another hospital, while making side remarks about being uninsured patients may not always be priority. This was devestating because I didn't want to acknowledge that my partner would be placed on some heirachy based on funding source. When chemo started, I began researching medical journals with patients similar to what my partner was facing. The oncologist was never around, never checked on my partner, and barely answered any questions. The oncologist would walk in at 7 am, tell us that they would resume chemotherapy, asked if we had questions and walked out...to which we would never see again until the next day. So if problems arose, which they did, the nurses had to call the doctor. This often came with a response from the nurses, "We are trying to get a hold of the doctor. We'll let you know what he says." This happened often, and my partner would be the midst of having bouts of throwing up, in pain, or when considering other methods of treatment we would go with no answers or a nurse once again telling us, "We'll have to wait for the doctor."During my stay with my partner, I inquired about the oncology wing (which we were staying in). Many nurses informed us that they were not specialized in oncology, and many of the patients on the floor were from various parts of the hospital: ER, geriatric medicine, recovery, surgery, etc. They stated that due to COVID they had to reformat the hospital and the nurses that assisted with my partner were not specialized for oncology and we would have to wait for such a nurse, the physician's assitant, or the actual doctor to get information or inquire about issues we were having. This went on until my partner's final days when I began noticing issues hours early before his passing. Literally more than half a day...and yet the nurses stated it was normal and nothing was wrong, and prescribed my partner pain reliever. I expressed my concern and highlighted the changes with fervor and urgency. Again I was met with, "Well we need to call the doctor." The nurse would return and state that the doctor has not responded yet, but she does now think that something is wrong. I thought to myself, "Yeah, I know something is wrong. I've been monitoring my partner these 4 week."My partner passed later that day. Though I am still grieving, I do believe that my partner was not taken care of. The doctors and nurses appeared indifferent, or if the nurse stated that they were not specialized to cancer patients...I fear that the ignorance of the staff lead to problems. Please, if you have the ability to go to another hospital, please go. Many of the nurses suggested going to University Hospital. Please stay away from this hospital.
No temperature check, understaffed, waited long enough only to be told to go see an ENT as they don’t have one. In addition 2 people in the screen next to mine were covid positive. Nothing against the workers they were fine but the facility needs to improve.
Had a car accident, came here to be seen, no one was there when went to ER part, so was quick and fast getting in, staff was real nice, dr that saw me ehhhh 🤷♀️ ok, but I can't remember name, but all around good hospital 👍
The nurses are just there to get paid! It’s so annoying I went looking for medical attention they GLANCED at me didn’t even bother to do a thorough check!! The nurse literally rolled her eyes while checking my ears my husband saw her. Sent me home, and I’m just going to get slapped with a huge bill!!! Annoyed is an understatement!! Oh and I’m back at square one!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
