Christus Vna Home Health - San Antonio's Online Review Report Card

Our family was instructed to provide in-home hospice to our recently departed loved one. Representative, Lily Fernandez responded rapidly to our consultation request. I'm ashamed to say as of this writing I can't recall the Clinical Director's name despite her Above and Beyond actions to ensure we understood all of the palliative RX instructions and clear understanding of the Plan of Care. Thankfully, our loved one did not need extended care but they departed with comfort thanks our partnership with the team at Christus VNA.

I gave them 2 stars because the CNA we had was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately the nurse in charge was not and that is the person we depended on the most. I was sad this service did not meet our expectations. The company we have now has done more in 2 days than what this RN did in 4 or 5 visits.

We have been very happy with the service from Amber, the RN, with Christus VNA home health. Amber is ideal for her profession: Caring, patient, and communicative. Erica, our CNA, has also been very helpful. My sister's primary is with the Christus network, and she asked to use the Chistus VNA team for continued care at home. After reading the very positive reviews, we went ahead with choosing Christus.Thank you for the providing such great assistance!

I was relentlessly harassed to enroll my grandmother into their care, even though we clearly weren’t ready. Before any service could even begin, she passed away in the hospital, and once she did, I never heard from them again—no call, no condolences, nothing. Their behavior during such a vulnerable time revealed their true nature as a predatory company more interested in profit than genuine compassion. I strongly advise anyone to avoid them. Look for a company that doesn’t call every other day on updates regarding your loved one and more just waiting for you to be ready. I’m honestly grateful she passed in a hospital setting then under their care.

Christus Hospice provided phenomenal care for our mom! Initially I spoke with Leona and she was compassionate and made the admission happen quickly. Sheila came out and admitted my mom and got all the right medication in place to make mom feel better. Tina was mom’s nurse and she made sure that mom was comfortable. Anita was her bath aide and mom really looked forward to her visits!!!! This entire team treated our mom with love and compassion and we will be forever grateful!

Oh my goodness Richard D. Is an amazing liaison for this great hospice. Very well recommended. If you ever need hospice care for your loved one, this is one agency you would like to consider.

I Enrique Dominguez have been receiving home care from Christus Home health and want to thank my NURSES Amanda Flores LVN and D’Andra RN for being courteous, respectful and always addressed my concerns and issues and answered all my questions putting me at ease . They always made sure to call the doctor with any concerns or changes in my health and taking care of my wound .

Very good organization, helpful and very good leadership

This place is awful avoid them at all cost. Called 4 times for a nurse. Waiting while a dying relative is having seizures. Very unprofessional, not caring and certainly not responsive. Do Not Use them

Scheduling and follow-up is difficult and sometimes impossible. The administrative staff is absent when problems arise. This agency is focused on easy insurance (Medicare) payment not the care needed by patients. I recommend finding another agency.
