Finding a psychiatrist who takes insurance feels nearly impossible these days, so when I found this practice, it was a relief I can't fully put into words. But beyond the accessibility, what truly sets her apart is the quality of care. She listens — really listens — and approaches every appointment with genuine compassion and zero judgment. I was a patient of Patricia Salazar (PA) and she told me at our last meeting (few days before the end of July) that she would be leaving the practice middle of next month. She was going to provide me a 90 day supply of my meds and a new PA (Crystal) would be taking over my case. Cool, great, Priscilla was a great PA and helped me through a lot in my past year. I was genuinely sad to hear her leaving. Well I got a letter dated the last day of July, that made it sound like she was cancelling my care… wait what? It said she would be available to reach in the office for the next 30 days (past the time frame she said she would be there) and that I would need to find a new psychiatrist through the city health care service. So, what’s the deal? Did Priscilla lie? Did the practice lie? Is this the wrong letter? I’m going to call and find out just what is happening because as someone who struggles with mental health (like many of us on here). Not knowing the status of getting my medication is MASSIVELY UPSETTING.
