This was the second time I was sent to the ER, I had to go by EMS because I could not walk or stand without getting very dizzy. I wasn't surprised when we went in and there was a long line of First Responders waiting for help. I was surprised that the First Responders were surprised that there was a line. I was finally laying in the hall on a bed and the nurses were doing the check-in. As busy as everyone was their compassion and interest in detail was impressive. As they were taking my intake information my Dr, Matthew McDowell, OD. was the best. We talked a bit about why I was there because he said that he wished all his patients had Labs that were as great as mine were. He listened to my whole story of being sick with mouth sores and vertigo since November of 2023 and how my other doctors have just been sending me to the ER because the Rheumatologist I have been seeing didn't even see me before insisting I go to the ER. He was the second ER doctor that told me that he didn't understand why a Rheumatologist would send me to the ER because they don't work in the hospitals. He was very blunt and honest with me, I was being told that I needed to see an Oral Specialist and he again said that they don't have one of those either. I totally felt like I was just being sent away so no one else had to deal with me. When he saw all the Autoimmune problems I had he was very compassionate and explained that I didn't need to be at the hospital I needed to go home before I caught something that could really hurt me. As I said the honesty that I received was so refreshing that if I have to go to the hospital again I am going to the Methodist. He did give me medication, and within about a month I was feeling much better. Thank you Dr. Matthew McDowell.
Although nurses and AIDS and doctors outstanding I can hear for a leg amputation and they make me feel very comfortable the food is great too
I'm so surprised at the number of negative reviews that have been posted about Methodist Hospital. Through my many years of experiences with using this hospital for treatment, I've only received excellent care from the nurses and the doctors. Everyone has always shown great concern for my health. I would like to thank all of the medical professionals and all of the other staff who run this hospital. You are doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work and stay safe. I remember when I had surgery, I was treated so good that I wrote thank you notes to everyone involved in my care. They also called to check on me several times, and I've never been called from other hospitals. I know your jobs aren't easy and probably very stressful. I want you to know that I sincerely appreciate all of you. Thank you! TaKori
Brought my son to Methodist Hospital emergency department to be treated for DKA after spending approximately 10 hours at University Hospital, for the same issue. University Hospital, in my opinion was negligent in the handling of my son's medical emergency. Methodist hospital on the other hand was a great experience from check-in to registration the ER doctor, the ER nurses and the lab techs took immediate action with labs and getting him set up in the emergency room for treatment. He was moved to ICU and the staff up there was phenomenal. My advice to anyone who wants it is to never go to university hospital.
We are happy with the Methodist Neuro Surgery ICU in general, but more specifically, we've been knocked out by RN Monica Lebanc Neuro Surgery ICU Nurse!!! We came in with my elderly mom who had a stroke and needed tests and observation and Monica is the nurse taking care of her. Monica Leblanc RN is very sweet, thoughtful, gentle, consistent, respectful, conscientious of privacy, knowledgeable, has excellent bedside manner, is very positive toward patients and families, very well spoken, empathetic, and easy to understand on both professional and laymen levels. We would be happy to have her as our family's nursing professional any day! She's made an initial horrible situation so much easier to handle. My mom is thriving under her care, as I write this, and has gained back abilities by leaps and bounds since 12 hours ago when we got here!
I was very compelled to write this review. Currently, my boyfriend is in the hospital for a medical procedure regarding his heart. Although it is a routine procedure for Methodist surgeons, surgery in general makes me nervous. I am an LVT, I understand a lot of the behind-the-scenes when it comes to nursing, but in my case, it's related to animals. I am so impressed with the staff, doctors, nurses, and assistants with how much compassion and comedy they provided during the time I was there, I specifically needed the comedy part. They made me feel more comfortable with the situation and answered all my questions wholeheartedly. I am so thankful for everyone involved in my boyfriends case, and it means a lot to me and the rest of his family knowing he's in such great care. Thank you, thank you, Thankyou. Shout out to Rosie, Courtney, Dr Garrison(maybe not spelled right) Ella, Jason, and others involved I hope you know you're appreciated. Thank you. And God bless you.
I went in for a surgery on the 13th of April and my goodness everyone on staff was absolutely amazing! They made you laugh, made you feel comfortable, kept checking in, etc.. seriously an amazing experience at a hospital
I was just released from Methodist Hospital this early evening. You know, I know I'm kinda grumpy when I'm sick and I was very sick. I was admitted and taken to the 3rd floor. To be perfectly honest I was treated very well. By everyone. They were so kind and attentive to me and patient. I'm sorry for the times I was grumpy. It was just me wanting to get home asap to deal with a difficult issue. They never quit treating me with respect. Deborah D'Agostino my case manager worked so hard on my behalf. Nurse Morgan. Nurse Karen. All the technicians that do the vitals. Wonderful. Food service people very nice and kind. Kind cleaning staff too. So nice. So thank you all. I appreciate everything you did for me. God bless.
I have had multiple experiences here at Methodist. I absolutely love everything about it!
The nurses and staff at the labor and delivery department at Methodist Hospital are amazing! I had my baby at this hospital a couple months ago and everyone working there was so helpful. From the initial person calling me a couple weeks before my due date to make sure all my paperwork was in order, to the person following up with me after giving birth to make sure I was not suffering from PPD...everyone was so caring and you could tell they wanted the best for you and your family. During our 2 day stay at the hospital, I think we got to interact with 10 different nurses and they were all very nice and organized. After giving birth, I had some complications and the nurses were super quick to act and in a matter of second there was an entire room full of people making sure I would be okay. Frankly, that level of care is something you don't find everywhere and knowing that you have an entire team behind you after going through something so difficult is very reassuring. I feel very grateful for the entire team at this hospital and for what they did for me and my family.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
