However, 50.0% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing poor post-operative support, ineffective communication, and billing issues. List of Nilesh Patel's Reviews
The office staff has been exceptional. I live 4 hrs away and it wasn't a hassle. I have Surgery Dec 4, 2023. Will do a update.
My surgery will be in a few days and I thank the doctors and their staff for answering all my questions and always being aware of me. I recommend Dr Patel and his team 100% each process is unique and the changes also thank you.
Saw Dr. Patel to discuss a procedure I was considering. He ordered a test to be performed at the hospital. The test was performed, although I never got the results. Now under the care of another doctor, I'm in need of those test results. After calling many times, I've been informed by Dr. Patel and his office that HE never received the results from the hospital. Why did he order the test if he didn't care about the results? Why did he bill the insurance company AND get paid for the test? According to his office staff, Dr. Patel is blaming the hospital. Note to others: ask what tests are being done and if you really need them. Afterwards request a copy of all test results. I'm the one having to deal with the inadequacies of this doctor/staff. (Would have given 0 stars, but that wasn't an option.)
Doctor and staff super friendly and made me feel comfortable .
Very professional and easy to work with
I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel and Texas Bariatric Specialists. They have made the process smooth and keeping me informed. I have surgery in a couple week and feel like I’m in great hands!

i haven't had my surgery yet but this office has been great. They give you one person you work with that keeps you informed on what needs to been done and where you're at in the process. they always work with me in scheduling and even do saturday hours which is always a plus. I ll update once i have the surgery which will be soon.. i deff would refer my friends here.
I've been very happy with Dr. Patel's off and service. Clean and professional environment. The MA's are awesome hype ladies! And Dr. Patel doesn't sugar coat anything.. just the way I like it. I have the tools that I need in order for this surgery to work. I'm excited to start this new chapter in life, I only wish I did it sooner
The office is impossible to get ahold of after surgery. I had some severe psychotic side effects in the weeks after surgery, and never got a call back when I called scared out of my mind trying to find answers. Later I learned that Dr Patel lied to my face about the procedure being covered 100% in network, and found out I was on the hook for an $11,000 hospital bill. Again I called the office asking for assistance or guidance, again I never heard back. The last straw was when the office finally called me months later to schedule a followup, and the staff refused to stop misgendering me even after I asked politely multiple times. At that point I had enough and declined any future appointments. This *finally* seemed to get their attention and they emailed me begging to follow up, but at that point I was done. I strongly recommend avoiding Dr Patel. Him and his staff clearly do not have their patients best interests at heart.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
