Dr. Woodard is amazing. I feel valued as a person not just his patient. I asked questions, I'm sure I asked before, and he answered them in the most detailed manner. He helped me understand how hereditary is just one aspect of my situation. His bedside manner allowed me to stay calm before and after surgery. He didn't rush through any of my care and allowed me to be a part of the process. All this being said, I met with him all of three times, consultation, procedure, and my follow up. I can't Thank him and the staff enough so I leave this review just in case I missed a Thank You.

Dr. Woodard did a fantastic job repairing my hernia. I'm 82 and had a severe heart attack in 2006. Dr. Woodard was concerned about the general anesthesia affecting my heart, but everything went perfectly. I put God in charge of everyone involved. I was released two hours after the procedure. He told me all the things to do/not do when I got home. I had no complications other than a few days of soreness. His office staff is very friendly and competent. We waited less than 10 minutes to see the doctor. We are very fond of Dr. Woodard.

First visit explained why I had a Hernia . In terms that were easy to understand and options on how he could correct it. Answers all your questions on each visit. Got my finial 6 weeks relies yesterday .Older people some times don't do well with surgeries like this luckily I'm only 74 and 11 months. Would not hastate to go back to Dr. Woodard.

My life was turned around when one day I could not eat solids. I would vomit every time I ate even liquids. I didn’t know what was wrong with me and even went to hospital and they told me I had Gerd. I continued to have this issues for 5 months and lost 81lbs. I was only able to try to drink shakes to get the nutrient my body needed. I Went back to the hospital and after a reevaluation was confirmed I was diagnosed with Achalasia. I was referred to Dr.Woodard , who explain to me that surgery Heller Myotomy with fun duplication would help relieve my rare health condition. After further research of what Dr.Woodard has accomplished and helped many people with his expertise, I knew I was in the right hands. His professionalism and experience and mannerisms toward my situation relieved my stress. One day after surgery I was able to enjoy soups, noodles, even a glass of water which I took for granted and will never do again. 2 weeks later I gain 6 lbs and was able to enjoy meals with my family once again. I would like to give Thanks to Dr. Woodard and his staff for giving me back a piece of my life. I would highly recommend Dr.Woodard and thank him for his humility during the entire process. 100 stars from me if there was an option. - Marcus C.
