I’m a travel nurse. I have had a contract in Phoenix Az but my home is in San Antonio. So I need all my Drs in San Antonio. I have been having a lot of health problems and needing to get a new cardiologist. I flew in from Az for this apt. I was told the wrong time so I wasn’t at the office at the correct time. I received a call from the secretary asking where I was and if I wasn’t here I couldn’t come to the apt at all. I asked if I could be seen later that day or the next day before my flight back to Az. I was told no and when I explained I have had cardiac changes and seen in the ER. She was extremely rude and told me that there are plenty other Drs that I could see and I could either wait for the next available apt in August or go somewhere else. I told her that my PCP referred me to Dr. Rao and I would prefer to see him. I asked for any accommodations and if we could explain it to the Dr to make an exception. She cut me off mid sentence and said NO! repeated what she said even more rude & condescending than the first time. I have been having chest pain and SOB…. As a nurse I was completely disgusted with how I was treated. I would absolutely never treat my patients like this.

Doctor Rao is the best of best heart doctor . Very understanding and very kind hearted and is very Persistent in finding out what is wrong with his Patience. He is the best of the best doctor there is.

During the current stressful times, Dr. Rao did an amazing job! I think as a patient we just want to be heard, understood and feel some compassion. I’m not sure how long Dr. Rao how been working but his bed side manner was amazing. He explained things to me at my level and tried his best to relate to my fear and anxiety I was feeling. I think showing a patient you care is one of the most important things. Some doctors hear you out, write you prescription and get you on your way. He was not like that. So I thank you Dr. Rao for a great doctors visit that made feel comfortable.

I am thoroughly pleased to be a patient of Dr. Satya Rao for many reasons. He is both professional and friendly at all times, always concerned with any issues, small or large, regarding with my health, extremely knowledgeable, and takes all the time I need to discuss any concerns and issues I may have. Best doctor-patient experience I've ever had. I'd recommend him to anyone seeking a cardiologist for their care!
