The Center For Health Care Services's Online Review Report Card

RUDE!!! My 18 year old daughter called to make a new patient appointment and the scheduler kept asking if she was the parent. She kept saying that she was the patient. The scheduler then HUNG UP on her. I called back and the scheduler denied hanging up on her, saying that the phones were having issues. However, after a 5 minute conversation, there were no issues or glitches. Needless to say, we did not make an appointment. Run, don't walk, away from this rude office staff.

We used The Center For Health Care Services since my daughter was in crisis. Our intake 5 minutes with a woman with no empathy. We had NEVER been through anything like this before and she is commanding us what to do. When I asked a question she scoffed and spoke to me in a very belittling way. Biggest waste of time ever. Now I am trying to pay the bill. Spent over an hour and a half being transferred back and forth. No one know what the F@## they are doing. Spoke to a person finally who told me that they have to bill my insurance since I didn't give it to them at intake. I did. If you are not needing crisis attention before you get there you will after you are done dealing with incompetent people that work there. They like to argue with you instead of listening to what you are trying to say. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!! NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE!!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!

Just not helpful. I went to them hoping they could and hoping they would actually do something in order to help me but they didn't. In fact I think they made everything worse.

BEEN HERE AN HOUR AND STILL WAITING ON DOCTOR FOR MY APPT. LADIES AT FRONT DESK ARE RUDE AND THEY ASK TOO MANY PERSONAL QUESTIONS!!!! THIS WILL BE MY LAST VISIT TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place is such a joke. After waiting one year on the wait list. They kick me from services because they don't know how to answer there phones. I left several message for close to 3 months no response. What kind of business never answers there phones or responds to its customers.This is so sad that this is the biggest mental health service company in San Antonio. Now i am left to look for services some where else. Been looking for a few months everywhere either has a waiting list or is not taking new clients.

I really need help I've benn diagnosed with bipolar dippresion I moved from Laredo to San Antonio I live with my father who does drugs and has a bipolar disorder I need help cus I can't Handel the pressure I'm sucidal and for the first time in my life I'm scared I'd never want to hurt no one but lately I've been having dreams can't tell if they are real or fake homicidal thoughts help the people don't ignore my mmmmmmmm my

Intake lady was hateful and rude on the phone. She should be ashamed to work in the mental health profession and treat people so horribly.

Worst experience ever after waiting for 2 hours they said there slots were filled I would have to wait an additional 2 hours to see if I could get a slot then when I sign in they didnt explaine that if ppl need help there no way of getting it here I dnt understand why they do not have an intake line the way they do children intake I am in crisis and really need help this was a totally fail!!! if I could rate them negative stars I would... fix your system!! They keep saying ppl line up at 6 I have 3 children and could never line up at 6!!!! This is a fail!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY RUDE STAFF!!!

CHCS is an excellent program to help those in need of mental healthcare who are low income. They also help with housing and medication. And the staff always treats everyone with respect. I've also been to their Crisis Center, and they were compassionate and caring too.
