The Center For Health Care Services's Online Review Report Card

No parking for clients. Arrived around 11 am. Waited for about 1hour for intake. Not to bad. Very few people waiting to be seen. Intake person friendly but said the person who handled the next step wasn't available. We could come back another day but we would have to repeat same process because your state of mind could change. Couldn't make appointment for next step because they operated on first come first served. Requested information for financial assistance and paper work given. So to sum it up, no help received. Similar reviews given for 2 years and it sounds like nothing has changed. Poor waste of tax payers money. So sad for people who need mental health and have Medicaid or who don't.

Was referred by CentroMed. Everyone over the phone was professional but in person was a different story. There is 3 steps and the first 2 are simple. 3rd step is the hardest. 2 hour session and then you are possible you can get a actual doctor appointment. FYI they don't treat anxiety, depression or PTSD. HORRIBLE

For the first time in a long time I felt good today walking into this place feeling like I was going to get some help feeling like I was going to get trapped back on track mentally just to walk out in tears I mean if you weren't going to help me because I have insurance and though my insurance isn't in your network you couldn't tell me that over the phone I swear like I feel worse then when I walked in the first place the intake person that they had me see very unempathetic didn't really want to hear anything I had to say all she was worried about was getting home telling me that well you came close to 3:00 I said what he told me to be here by 3:00 if you told me to be here by 3:00 you should have told me then hey we're going to have a lot of stuff to do you need to be here by 12:00 or whatever the case may be this place is just joking another sister that's spelled that I thought I was going to get some help I thought I was going to feel better while get out of here today at least with the plan now I don't even know what to do anymore how do you know that I wanted to do anything anymore

Sad to say if this is the help you get hear at this center location it's very important note : ? Yu might have to come back Yu might be seen Yu have to be ready for the runaround Don't expect the help yu came for . You'll probably feel worse when you leave. Discouraged. Yu are not the only ones . 😞

The staff there weren't very helpful. They're rude. They talk fast and expect you to keep up. So, if you have a complaint or a question and want to ask them then most likely they'll try to "beat around the bush". It's almost as if they are rushing around trying to get you in and out as soon as possible rather then taking the time to do their job and help you.

Waited for 3 hours just to get told that they wouldn't be able to do intake and that I'd have to do another walk in to do intake in which they wouldn't be able to tell me if they'd be able to do an intake if I came back as a walk in. Worst mental health place I've ever been to in my life.

These people see your problems as a marketing opportunity i gave them my insurance card when i walked in they made me wait 3 hours for the lady to call me in and pitch a payment because my insurance wasnt in network. Front desk couldve told me but they wanted their little opportunity i do not recommend any behavioral centers after the experiences ive been having

I was denied service because my Marketplace insurance didn't cover the cost. They said I would have to pay fees that added up to over hundreds for my first visit. When I explained that I had no income, they claim to help with that IF I had medicaid. In other words, they only help if they get paid. I left very upset, because they refused to tell me this over the phone. And I had to open up about alot of my personal details first. Instead of helping by at least being straight forward about costs - I left this place in worst shape, feeling embarrassed and violated.

Terrible experience it’s like no matter how much of a crisis you are in they don’t care they are rude and so unhelpful waste of time

Center for health is a great center for adults, teens, children. I referred alot of my patients here with insurance and without insurance. The assessment get done in a timely manner and people are available to schedule a doctors appointment after the assessment. No you won't get quick and fast services all the time. But I know this much, center for health take people with or without insurance and the staff is super sweet. Thank you center for health crew for your wonderful service here in San Antonio Texas.
