List of William Atlas, Md's Reviews
Best of the Best! Dr. Atlas is the cream of the crop internal medicine physician. He has been my physician for 21 years and I have followed him from his larger practice to his individual concierge medicine practice. Dr. Atlas is a brilliant, caring, patient focused physician who is well versed in all types of medical care. Dr. Atlas and his staff listen intently, coordinate with specialists and assist patients to make sure they are living their very best life. Dr. Atlas really makes you feel that he is part of your team and you know that he and his staff are always there to answer questions and provide answers during health emergencies and illnesses.
Very sensitive and concerned about his patients. He takes whatever time is necessary to listen and interact with his patients. He’s the real thing. I know this sounds crazy, but I truly feel that he is more concerned about helping people than making a lot of money.
No waiting for appointments. Totally accessible 24/7. Extremely knowledgeable in a wide range of specialties. Makes time to talk to you. Very personable.
I have been a patient of Dr Atlas' for many years. Initially, he was with a large medical group which strictly monitored the length of Dr / patient appointments. Their goal was to "service" as many patients per doctor per day, which would thereby increase revenue. Towards the end of my time with Dr Atlas at the big firm, we would have about 10 minutes together before he was called to see the next patient. When Dr Atlas departed the medical group to become a concierge doctor and provide in-depth personal care for his patients, I gladly followed him to his new practice. I have semi-annual checkups with Dr Atlas and my visits are between 30 to 60 minutes each, or whatever is required. I travel extensively, and am able to contact him for assistance 24/7 for any issue. He is always available to provide advice or call in an appropriate prescription wherever I may be traveling. His nursing and office staff are awesome to deal with. Yes, there is an annual fee for the concierge service. The one-on-one personal physician concern and attention is well worth it to this patient.
Would give more stars if they'd let me!
When you want the best, look no further. Simply great service and caring doctor and staff.
Previous reviewer is correct--thanks to his review, I contacted Dr. Atlas' office before selecting him as my PCP for new insurance and was also informed that he does NOT accept insurance. He is solely a concierge Dr.
BEWARE: Could not schedule a new patient appointment - his office claimed he is a "concierge doctor," he will not bill insurance, and you have to pay him an annual retainer fee. I have no idea why he is listed in my insurance network but I already complained to the insurance company to have him removed. Excuse me for not being exclusive enough and thanks for nothing.

Dr Atlas and his staff are fabulous! I always feel like I am their only patient and there is no such thing as a stupid question. I never feel rushed. I have been a patient since I moved to San Antonio 15 yrs ago and don't plan on going anywhere else. I would highly recommend Dr Atlas!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
