List of World Pediatric Dental's Reviews
My daughter went in for a check up and I asked if the visit was going to be covered by insurance and they said yes. 6 months later, a week before my daughter’s routine checkup, they call me and said I owe them 70 dollars. Ridiculous.
Dr Dutta is a world class pediatric dentist and world pediatric dental is an exceptional office! Our kids love going there. They keep asking me when their next visit is and they get super excited for their dental visits.. we love Dr Dutta so much and we just wish he could treat adults too not just kids 😁
This place's billing department is an absolute nightmare. After 2 years, I'm still out almost $800 out of pocket on a 100% covered procedure because the office failed to properly file the claim ahead of the procedure even after multiple conversations prior to the day of the procedure regarding the care plan for the day. We showed up on the morning of our procedure to find out only half of our procedure had been filed for so I had to pay out of pocket for the other half in order to continue on with the procedure for that morning. They assured me they would go back and file for the other half and after calling back almost every other week and sometimes every day for multiple months there was still no claim properly being filed with the insurance and now almost 2 years later I have still not been fully reimbursed. This procedure filed properly should have cost me $0 and now 2 years later it has cost me at least $800 plus hours and hours and hours of my time on the phone with these folks.
My son recently had to have surgery. He needed to undergo anesthesia for dental work. Dr. Oshmi Dutta and the staff made us feel at ease during the entire process. My son wasn't scared and he barely needed any pain meds after. The procedure was quick and my son's mouth is healing wonderfully. This office ia by far the best I've ever been to. Highly recommend and will be making this office our permanent location.
Our family is fairly new to the area, and we’re still in the search for the right pediatric dentistry practice. The Dentists here are nice and we had no issues with their care. However, the practice’s rigid policy and their lack of flexibility is what turned me off this office. They wanted to take panoramic X-rays at my children’s appointments to establish them as new patients. This service was only covered by our insurance once every few years, and these type of X-rays were taken a year prior at an our prior dentists office. Their policy is that they will only accept their own panoramic X-ray and would not accept the X-ray from their previous dentists, and that they wouldn’t proceed with the appointment with out this xray. In my experience, I’ve never had a dentists office so inflexible and refuse to accept X-rays from another location. I think it’s absolutely absurd to require someone to pay out of pocket for a service that is covered by insurance, and has been completed at another location previously. I also looked it up on the Dentists Association, and panoramic X-rays are not considered as required standard of care!
We Love Dr. Dutta! Straight forward and to the point! If youre looking for the best Pediatric Dentist in Stone Oak, look no further!
World pediatric dental needs major improvement in chair side manner. Do not expect your children to be treated individually!
Dr. Dutta and back office/assistants were friendly, and the facility itself was decent but our overall experience was ruined by the front desk staff. I called multiple times throughout the month of May to request a revised quote for a recommended treatment for my daughter. (we received a new health plan) Spoke to someone different every time and the last few calls I was told that our new insurance information was never inputted nor my child's chart notated about any calls or request I made! Called the next day to get an update and that receptionist was completely rude and unapologetic for the staff's incompetence. At least the lady before apologized about the incidence with no one notating/updating the chart! Worst, incompetent front desk staff. Looks like my review is not the only one about the front office staff. Dr. Dutta or office manager needs to have a conversation with them.
They kicked us out because I requested my two children not get x-Rays at every single visit especially because they had one already that same year. They said it is a requirement for every child at every appointment to have an XRay. This is not necessary when they have no cavities or issue and just had imaging less than 6 months ago. I have done my research and there are many professionals who agree. I hope the push for so many X-Rays doesn’t have anything to do with money charged to the insurance. I am currently attending a pediatric dentistry that only does X-Rays when necessary. They are extremely professional and don’t treat their patients like money machines. I have been attending this new place for 3 years. My children’s teeth are healthy and cavity free and more importantly free of constant strong XRay exposure.
This place and staff is wonderful. My son is autistic and I’ve taken him here since he was 1. They have always been very patient and understanding with him. Have never made me feel uncomfortable, nor my son. I wish I could give them 20 stars for taking care of us all these years. He is now 8.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
