Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos's Online Review Report Card

My mother went to check up on my brother this morning. She had dropped him off yesterday at the ER. When she arrived she was told that he had been discharged. They didnt tell her anymore information. My mother went into a panic because he has health issues and never made it home. I called them a few times and they would not tell me what time he had been discharged because that is private information. Instead they let us believe that he went missing and we needed to call the police. A few hours later after driving all over San Marcos in search for my brother we hear from my him. He had been transferred to a facility in Austin. At no point in time did they think that information was helpful. This place is ridiculous!!!!

If I could give a negative 5 star review I’d probably give a negative 10 instead. I had both my babies here and experienced such mistreatment and unprofessionalism that I had to take my own IV out at discharge because they never checked on me. My dad went into the worst hands ever when he was admitted to this place you call a hospital and ultimately would be killed here. The nurses-horrible, doctors-even worse. All they want to do is clear out the ICU and they do just that. My father was murdered by Adriana Martinez Wilson, she smiled when she signed his death certificate. Please I beg you Do Not take your loved ones here if they get sick, have covid or are expecting!!!

One star is too much. I went into surgery and came out with a missing tooth. The OR people knocked my front tooth out of my mouth after they pulled the tube from my throat. And they don’t care. Said they wouldn’t pay for it. I’m just getting conflicting stories at this point. I spent over 3K on my teeth three months ago and now because of them knocking my tooth out of my mouth, I have to spend another 3K and have oral surgery. Thanks a lot!!!!

THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!!!My son went to the emergency room, spring break 2021.He was having severe chest pains and heart ache.They would not give him a room because he had to wait for people ahead of him.He ended up having myocarditis which he almost had a heart attack.It wasn’t until he fell to the floor that they gave him a room and was seen by a Cardiologist.The attending reception nurses treated him terribly.!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I was scheduled for a knee replacement in Kyle at Seton. 48 hours before the scheduled time, Seton cancelled due to COVID, and the Doc transferred over to Christus. In that window, Christus got all of the paperwork straightened out, and the surgery was performed as scheduled. From the first contact until getting wheeled out to leave, I received outstanding care and attention. I commend everyone involved and continue to recommend this facility highly. Oh, now, 2 months later... the knee is fully recovered, I have had no pain or infection, and I never had to take more than Tylenol. In the Spring, I'll have the other one done, and I know where I'm going for it.

Don't trust the staff at this place. They do not have your family's best interests at heart & do not carry humane values & certainly aren't 'Christ' like. All they care about is funding, money & are all so full of disrespectful attitudes. After numerous complaints by other families as well & the issues still persist. Tbh majority of the nurses & 'drs' should be revoked & not allowed to practice anymore for unethical behaviors. They can escape punishment here on earth but cannot escape their own Judgment Day. Please choose a different hospital for your loved ones & stay away from this place.

I had to go in a couple weeks ago for an emergency surgery to get my appendix removed. Everyone was extremely kind and professional. My only complaint is the bathrooms could use a remodel, but otherwise I don’t think it could have gone better. Dr. Hambric was my surgeon.

One star is too fuvking much. I went before, got diagnosed with gallbladder cancer, went again a couple months later after losing 40+ pounds, weak, I can’t eat, and in so so much abdominal pain. The dr working ordered imaging I already had done a couple months before, and gave me Tylenol and zophran, what I could have gotten at home. Terrible staff. Absolutely rude besides the imaging lady who was so nice. I’m so so, so upset over this. They sent me home saying they couldn’t do anything after being there for 12 hours. Waiting patiently. Don’t come here.

Half of the nurses do not wear mask, when I asked for a COVID test for my son who was sick and having a reaction they could not find the source of the nurse laughed. I waited 5 hours for him to be released with no diagnosis. Just additional exposure to a virus since the nurses were not wearing mask.How can you be a nurse in the medical field but laugh at a parents concern and expose your patients to your own germs. Especially patients who are children and cannot get a COVID vaccine right now.Are your nurses even allowed to do that?Also the bathroom has pee all over it this was the emergency room.
