I have been a patient of Dr. Wansom's for some time, so when he came to the San Marcos location of Lone Start Spine and Pain, I decided to follow. I live quite a ways from San Marcos, but it's definitely worth it when you find a doctor as exceptional as Dr. Wansom. He is so personable, really cares about his patients comfort, and offers different solutions in finding ways to manage chronic pain. Above all, he really takes the time to listen to your concerns.

I have been going to see Dr. Wansom for over 5 years now for chronic pain. He has been a life-changing and transformative part of my life; introducing alternative methods of pain management that allowed me to live a more thorough and active life. Dr. Wansom is a physician who listens & hears his patients concerns.

Dr. Wansom is thorough and so caring. He described my options and really cared about my quality of life with regard to back pain. He's up on all the latest techniques and the office is very high-tech. I'm so glad i am under his care!

We have been with Dr. Derrick Wansom for a couple of years now and have actually followed him from another practice. We are very happy to drive from Bastrop to San Marcos to stay with him. Like my husband said, "San Marcos is not that far when it is a Dr. that you trust!!" Thank you Dr. Wansom and Lettie from Lone Star Spine & Pain!!!

I have been going to Dr Wansom for about five years now. He has really helped me with my low back and neck pain. Always has a smile when he comes in the room and makes you feel very comfortable. I live in Bastrop but I followed him to San Marcos. You don’t find many Doctors who actually care how you are feeling.

Dr Wansom is a very caring and understanding person. He has not only helped me to understand the cause of my pain but has done his best to help manage my pain with medication and procedures. I could not ask for a better pain management provider . .

Letty the front desk clerk was very nice, professional, and attentive, she made us feel so comfortable as new patients, Dr. Wansom was very patient and professional listening to our concerns, he was very informative and offered multiple options on how we can start our treatment, they went above and beyond with great service to us
