I would not recommend this "surgeon" to anyone. He is awful. I had a double mastectomy on July 30 which he glued shut, within 2 days the glue was coming undone. I reported it his office, they told me to put gauze and tape it. This happened repeatedly. On Aug 27th he took a knife and slit the rest of the incision open. Didn't deaden it or anything. He said it has to start healing all over again. Pain has been unbearable. It is now Dec 19 and I am still dealing with hospital wound care and home health care as I still have open wound on my chest. It has to be dealt with everyday, changing bandages, living in constant pain. Im actually looking for a good lawyer right now. Dr. DeArmond is horrible.

He was very pleasant and knowledgeable, as was his staff. They 'squeezed' me in as a semi-emergency at the request of my PCP and I couldn't be more pleased. I am unsure why there are negative reviews on him; I'm sorry others had negative experiences - that was not mine. I would definitely recommend him without hesitation.

I would NOT recommend Dr DeArmond to anyone. Even my GP agreed and stopped sending patients his way. He not only left a crater in my stomach after having to go in a cut a nerve, and adhesions, (he cut the fat around that area and now I have a literal dent in my abdomen that is visible) even a year later. Still have the same redness I complained about before. Upon surgery I asked if there would be pictures of what he finds, and he barged in thinking I was wanting to record him with my personal phone. I came out of surgery still under anesthesia, having an anxiety attack asking why he hated me. I watched him walk by me, not a word. Follow up, I said I still had pain and he shrugged and said oh well. Never have i ever met someone so uncaring especially in the medical field. He should stop and find something that makes him happy. Period.

He removed my gallbladder. I would not recommend him. He is not friendly, rushes you out, and shows no care at all for his patient.

Dr Dearmond wasn't my doctor. He was my mother's doctor. He assisted on the three surgeries that she had before she was finally transferred to Houston. She had been in the hospital from February 15 thru March 8. He put a spit fistula in her neck. She's still in the hospital in Houston. Her doctor in Houston said "Her doctor in Lufkin did a hatchet job on her neck."

I was having severe reflux, I would wake up in the middle of the night with my chest on fire. I went to see this Surgeon and he said that I needed surgery. After surgery my reflux and pain was gone. I am so Thankful that we have him to take care of us. He is an Excellent Surgeon.
