List of Tony Tsen's Reviews
I had a esophageal dilation and when I asked a question he responded very honestly and caring. Everything from registration to the completed procedure was exceptional. Thank you Dr. Tsen
Dr Tsen is great and has great instincts. I told him my family history, and my symptoms and he didn't question me, and said, let's get a colonoscopy. I'm way under the usual age, but didn't give me grief. He said everything looked normal, but he remembered my symptoms and took a biopsy at the end just to be sure. Good thing he did, they found I have a form of colitis which is very very hard to catch. He prevented years of mystery misery. I trust him implicitly. Office is nice, with beautiful salt aquariums. If there's a wait, just be patient. The best doctors take time with their patients. I've sent others to him, he's worth the wait!
Dr. Tsen is a wonderful doctor. He goes above and beyond to make sure my husband and I are taken care of and understand results and going forward recommendations and instructions. His staff is also amazing. Thank you, Southwest Gastroenterology!
I will definitely recommend Dr Tsen to all my friends and fellow nurses. He has done several proceedures for me, he explains each proceedure and is willing to answer all questions asked of him
I have been going to Dr. Tsen for years. He's the best. He truly cares for his patients and his staff is always so nice. I highly recommend him to anyone.
Appointment was at 2:15, actually came on my lunch break, the worse thing is it’s now almost 4pm and I still haven’t been seen! Oh but so you know they will cancel and charge you if you’re late!!
I have been going to Dr. Tsen for nearly 6 years and I trust him implicitly! I have several friends that go to him and we all feel the same way. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, has integrity stays up on the latest medical information. He has helped me with stomach issues several times. The only thing that's a bit irritating is the long wait you have sometimes because I think they way overbook. His waiting room is always packed. As far as care given, he rocks!
I was given a referral by my primary physician. DR. Tsen's office called me and said they had the referral. They were only doing tele conference. He had my records in front of him and i'm certain it had my insurance info. on it. I can't do the televised as he couldn't see me. I was then asked to just talk with him by phone ,which i did. I explained my problem which he had in front of him from my primary care. He put me on medication which i had been getting from my physician already. He told me that i would need a upper and lower scope because i am also anemic. My co pay with my insurance is $20.00. A few days later i had a call from his office saying i needed to pay my bill. $135.00 because they do not take HMO. I live on Social Security and lost a job after 10+ years. I told her there was no way i could pay that. A few days later i got a bill from them.I live on $487.00 a month from Social Security. Thank You. Judy Schuetz. I live in New Braunfels Texas not California.
I WAS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY VOICE AFTER MY ENDOSCOPY PROCEDURE. HE TOOK ME INTO HIS OFFICE ON THE DAY I PRESENTED MY ISSUE AND EXPLAINED MY PROCEDURE AND GAVE ME SOME MEDICATIONS TO TAKE OVER A PERIOD OF DAYS TO RESOLVE MY PROBLEM
While Dr. Tsen was very congenial, explained concepts and made sure all procedures were clear, the front office staff has been difficult to deal with. A follow-up procedure has taken over a month, up to a month and a half, to get scheduled after his office originally reached out to me. Each time I call in, I get pushed off until later for various reasons. Thankfully he is a very friendly doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
