List of John Giannakis Md's Reviews
Over the past 30+ years,we have seen Dr G and consider him among the top focused doctors. He has treated prostate cancer, kidney stones, bladder infections, and incontinence over the years. He was instrumental in catching cancer thruout the system with a CT scan. He is observant and direct with his treatment and diagnosis. Love this doctor.
My husband and I have seen Dr Giannakis for many years. We both highly recommend him for his professionalism and expertise in Urology. We are so grateful for his care.
Over one hour late from appointment time. If this is due to emergency care, then understandable, but if a habit, this is a problem. He seemed to be In a hurried state during the visit and was not a very good listener. I certainly do not question his expertise as a physician, but a physician that is not a good listener and is in a hurry get to his next patient is in my opinion one that probably should be avoided. A hurried physician either has a poor scheduler or seems to be focused on quantity ($) over quality. Just one opinion.
Visits with Dr. Giannakis have been getting shorter and shorter over the years and are lately 5-6 minutes. He gives the impression to be in a hurry, not to be present and wanting to get on with more important things. One is forced to pose follow-up questions on the patient portal which are answered in one or two syllables but all this may suit others.
Dr Giannakis is absolutely focused to the needs of the patient and shares the cause, why's and do nots in simple English. Always to the point.
I rely on Dr. Giannakis for all things related to prostate health. He is always very nice, knowledgeable, focused, and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a friend or relative.
I like the doctor, though he can seem rushed sometimes. His staff is very rude, calling for an appointment is extremely difficult. Probably will seek another urologist only because of staff, both front desk and medical assistants.
Dr. Giannakis is a great doctor. I have seen him a handful of times over the last 6 years and he has always quickly resolved my medical issues. He is quick and efficient, but he still takes the time to answer all of your questions, even if you have a million questions like I always do. Every time I walk into his office with worry and anxiety about my health issues he immediately puts my mind at ease. I can't recommend him enough. If you need a urologist, Dr. G should be your go to!
I cannot recommend Dr. G and his staff enough! I developed kidney stones while Dr. G was out of office. I called in a.m. and was scheduled that same day with Peggy, nurse practitioner. I admit I was hesitant to meet with rn pa but pain was so severe I was desperate. Peggy was amazing! I was worked in for ct on the spot! The entire staff was compassionate and caring. If you need a urologist, seek no further!
I had an appointment with Dr. Giannakis at 2:15 and was told to arrive a half hour early to complete paperwork. I arrived at 1:35 and checked in immediately. I completed the paperwork prior to 2:00 and waited in the waiting room. I was finally called back to the exam room at approximately 2:40. I was walked back there given a bottle to provide an urine sample and was told to place it in the cabinet. That is the last interaction I had with any staff. I waited in the exam room for an additional 35 minutes - one hour past my appointment time, I was not approached to explain that the doctor is behind, or any other communication. I was frustrated and decided that I did not wish to wait any longer to be seen. I will now have to find another Urologist. This type of service makes it seem as if the doctor's time is more valuable than the patient’s. I attempted to get a contact person to speak with and the receptionist was not even able to tell me who the office manager is. Unfortunately, I did not read some of the reviews prior to booking this appointment, because it seems this is a common occurrence for this practice. There are many competing doctors and this type of customer service is not ever acceptable. If any of the staff had this type of service, they would not be happy…..so why do they think it’s okay for this to be acceptable here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
