Kevin James's Online Review Report Card

So that’s me... during my zoom tele-visit with Dr. Satyan, i’ve been having severe pain in my neck. My surgery first was March 27, 2019 and the Doctor Who did it was Dr. Kevin James Southlake Texas. He’s fused my neck crooked, and not only that, but used a plate that was far too big for my measurements and bottomed out a screw. With that being said; here we are, two years later, and that same plate has now damaged the top vertebrae and the bottom vertebrae just above and below the plate. Now there Are bone spurs growing over it. I plan to interview many doctors but this one in particular said that he wants to go posterior and fuse everything to keep me from causing further damage(last pic is an example) But this would only potentially get rid of pain but not prevent future issues. He says I need two more fusions in the front but I would be way too invasive for someone my age (31) He also said that there’s potential for more pain afterwards. So I am at a loss, I don’t think I’m going to be doing the surgery, I was really hoping for better news. Not only that we have not addressed any of the other issues such as the pain on the top of my neck below my skull, or the pain in my thoracic Spine.  or the fact that my top screw that is hanging out up there solo, is showing signs of loosening... dr Kevin James did me so wrong.... I was in continued pain and asked to have the crooked-ness of my fusion addressed and it never happened. I don’t know if I’ll ever be fixed now... he was invested with the company who made my plate and made an additional $80000 that year using the plates he has been sponsored with. My life is ruined. I did everything right. Shame on this doctor

Dr. James did a diskectomy and fusion on me just 3 days ago and I’m doing fantastically. Hardly any pain and the little I’ve had has been easily managed with ibuprofen and acetaminophen. I’ve actually been able to work a little bit (computer) and take walks. Thank you very much, Dr. James and team!!

He's an excellent doctor. The staff was kind and courteous. All the round was a good experience

Dr. James conducted two surgeries. A fusion and a year later to remove the screws that caused an allergic reaction. Both experience were positive. I did my homework on his credentials prior to my first contact and his bedside manner exceeded my expectations. Roz was my angel. Sheryl was very smart, competent and amazing. No one is perfect but I'm walking without assistance. And that is a miracle.

- Excellent doctor! Spent all the time I needed to understand my diagnosis and treatment. Was extremely professional and kind. He listened carefully to my questions and was very clear in his responses. He has outstanding "bedside manner". He has an outstanding staff. I wholeheartedly can recommend Dr. James.

Dr James operated on me he did cervical fusion he cut my vocal nerve and he kept telling me that my voice will come back until i went to ENTDoctor which he told me that my vocal nerve been cut .

One star is what they deserve. Worse appt ever. I spent most of my time as a new patient with a PA that didn't know anything. He asked the exact same questions over and over, because I'm guessing he had no clue what to do. Then Dr. E. Comes in and was SO rude. Didn't really care to listen to me, and they took an x-ray and never even talked with me about it. That's how relevant I was. The entire time I felt as if I was wasting his time.Update....It's 5/1 and I say them last week. They never even called in my Rx. No call regarding my therapy. We I called about the Rx...The girl that answered asked me what Rx was it and they could not locate my paperwork. But would call me back.

I finally found a doctor that cares. Another doctor accused me of wanting pain pills and giving the wrong history. He had the wrong file up. Dr. James found what was wrong and we now have a game plan, and I feel I'll finally be out of pain after dealing with back spasms and difficulty walking (which was getting worse each year) for the past 8 years.

Efficient kind staff. Dr. listened and spent time explaining things.

His ability to explain the issue in the mannner anyone can understand is the best. He makes you a partner in the course of care . i feel safe and even through i don't look forward to the surgery i know i am in safe competent hands. God bless his healing hands.
