List of Sota Weight Loss's Reviews
Let's start with the positive. You will lose weight. The diet is effectively Keto with a starvation aspect. The calorie count is low, roughly 1000 cal per day. So, yes, it works. But I was starving. Example: Breakfast: 2 eggs, 164 cal Lunch: 6 oz chicken and 2 cups broccoli, 390 cal Snack 2 oz protein 80 cal Dinner 6 oz steak and 2 cups cauliflower 390 cal Now for their less than truthful claims. Claim: Your SOTA nutritionist will be there for you when you need help. My experience: They will reply, within a couple of hours or days depending on when you text them. They are closed most of Saturday, all of Sunday and Monday. They aren't really available before 9:00 am or after about 4:00pm. They are open until 5:00 pm, but they typically won't respond after 4:00, in my experience. When you eat breakfast and dinner, you won't have support on what to cook or buy if you aren't at home. Good luck. Claim: You will get support on what to order from restaurants. My experience: All they really tell you to do is order a piece of chicken or steak and some vegetables. They will tell you what is best on the menu at a specific restaurant, but keep in mind you will have to ask several days in advance. Claum: I was told this is easy to do on the road because the sales woman's (Rebecca) husband is a pilot and he did it. My experience: I am guessing he got better support from his wife. This diet is damn near impossible on the road. Especially if you travel internationally. Good luck ordering what you want and explaining you can't have sugar in a language you don't speak and with no one to help you because SOTA is either closed or slow to respond. Oh, the elephant in the room! Claim: SOTA is State of the Art. My experience: State of the art is supposed to be the best technology and techniques known to man. They have no tech. Their website is similar to a MySpace page. They have no aps. No calorie or macro trackers. No body testing. No scans. No blood tests. No analysis. We got a one size fits all diet. Aka, Keto. Claim: You will get a meal plan. My experience: My definition of a mean plan is meals in a plan format, like the e ample i gave above. Their definition of a meal plan is a list foods you can eat. The same foods that are on Keto or Atkins. Claim: You will get a grocery list. My experience: I expected a grocery list for the plan of meals I expected above. No. It is a list of substitutes for sugary drinks and protein bars. And only at expensive grocery stores that are no where near me. The side effects I had: severe hunger, headaches, low energy, constipation and cramps. Their solution was to drink cooking oil. I didn't do that. I just ate more and I was fine. They told me to stop doing that but I was miserable and the extra food helped. The weekly calls are not productive. Maybe 5 minutes of good job and did you have any challenges. But no substantive advice. They kept telling me to eat out less. Thats hard to do when you are gone 4 days a week. If only I had asked directly if the plan could be done while traveling (that was sarcasm. I did ask directly). When we had substitute nutritionists, it wasn't an unproductive call, it was a flat out waste of time. For $275/week, I expected something state of the art that was more tailored to my needs. Instead, I got a Keto diet, a lot of unkept promises and the feeling I was a sucker. I didnt make my goal weight and they will tell you it was my fault. I will tell you, traveling made it hard and it wasn't made easier by SOTA. They had no solutions. I gave them 2 stars because the diet worked (just not as well as they claimed). But they lose a star for less than honest claims, low effort support and a completely misleading name. P.s. to the spokespeople on certain radio stations; I will never trust you again. Pps. I forgot that they have these meaningless tropes like "we aren't a weightloss program" even though their name is SOTA Weightloss and "we want you to let go of the weight." Absolutely meaningless and worthless.
Cost $325 a week, $1300 a month, very limited diet but if can endure. Works guaranteed
The program works 100%. Lost 70 lbs in 6 months, kept it off over 2 1/2 years now, I’m over 50, feel young as ever. But can’t give higher star because it cost $1,300month($325 a week) and food options are extremely limited.
SOTA was dishonest and held unrealistic expectations, and owes me money. SOTA asked me to post my progress on Instagram and offered to pay me for three months. I agreed. After ten days they informed me that they would end the agreement because they didn't see new leads. New leads were not part of the agreement, and were also unlikely until sufficient time had passed to see progress. I was promised a payment via check in the mail for the ten days but no payment arrived. Ten days were insufficient time to demonstrate results. I ask now only for the payment that was promised for the ten days, and they twice promised but never delivered, and now they won't speak with me. When messaging him to ask about the payment he tells me to go away, and to not harass him and threatened me saying that his lawyer is going to call me. Be careful if you are going to work for them, very dishonest.
No gimmicks. Sound nutritional science. Excellent model that's easy to follow.
I've been on the program for over a month and doing really well. As with any diet, it comes down to doing the work and following the diet. The staff at Southlake are incredible. I would recommend this program to anyone serious about their weight loss goals. I'd recommend doing as short of an initial period as possible at first so you can confirm you like it as it is a bit on the expensive side.
In twelve weeks I have lost 52 pounds and feel 20 years younger. I am on a cruise now with many friends and they are all amazed at my new profile. I am 69 years old and am now running 5k races. SOTA has changed my life.
SOTA team of Southlake is great! Everyone is friendly and helpful. They have been very encouraging, supportive, and knowledgeable during my journey. I am currently 112 lbs down in 9 months. They have been a great sounding board and guide and truly want to see you succeed.
I have tried a bunch of diet plans and failed, i lose the weight but as soon as im on maintenance bam i gain it right back, i love love love this program, not only is the food amazing but my nutritionist Tara is a rock star at helping me not feel so bad if i have a bad day and she helps me get right back in That mind set. Ive lost more then i even thought i could and ive kept it off, the best thing about this is you have to remember its an investment in your health and you get to have all the help you want and need during and after while on your maintenance. What are you waiting for? Try it and i bet you'll be as happy as i am.
Sota has helped me shed weight that has been slowly creeping on through the years. Especially through my 50's. Now I can fit into clothes that I haven't worn in years and I feel great. It is the best investment I've made in myself, my health and for my family. I highly recommend SOTA to anyone who is struggling with their weight.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
