Office as a whole is very unprofessional. I made an appointment my son had just got out the mental hospital. The receptionist told the doctor we was there. We could here her from outside saying she was not seeing him. Talking loud and rude. I asked the receptionist should we leave. She apologized and said no she would see him. My son has been battling with mental illness for over a year. It’s been a real stressful, struggle for my family. We saw her that day. My son received a shot in the hospital. She told me to call with shot information so she can send it over to Walgreens. I called and emailed never was done. my son is out of meds. I call every day since it’s June 1. My son was seen on May 4. I make an appointment. The doctor said she would refill his meds, my son is breaking down daily. After a year of getting him on track. This has gotten him back off track
Don't come here if you actually want an appointment. Was given the run around multiple times. I first called and was told that billing would process my insurance and I'd get a call back. A week passed and I never received the call back so I called and was told the same thing. I called again a few days later to finally schedule the appointment. Initially was told i had an appointment set for a wednesday. I called 2 days before wednesday to be certain I had the appointment but was told that I was never actually scheduled and I was able to schedule one for the next day. The day comes and I receive 2 calls 30 minutes apart and I call back 30 minutes after the 2nd call and I'm told that my appointment is cancelled. The reason I'm given was that I received calls all week (which wasn't true) and that I didn't call in between the 9am to 1pm range. I called at 1:02. This office has horrible management when it comes to their handling of appointments. DO NOT COME HERE.
Worst experience ever, lost appointment, no call back to fix the issue, never given the correct information and documentation for approval and they barely answer the phone. Would not recommend.
Dr. Ayeni was attentive, empathetic and knowledgeable. He's been seeing my child for a while and I am very satisfied with the results. I am very fortunate to have found this doctor. I would recommend this doctor to anyone looking for a great child psychiatrist.
Dr. Ayeni is thoughtful, caring and gives me good advice. I appreciate being able to do virtual visits because it saves me time with travel and traffic, it’s one less stress in my life!
Dr. Ayeni is a professional, well educated doctor with extensive experience. I am so grateful I was introduced to him and he was able to guide me towards the steps I needed to take in order to improve my health. He understands that it takes more than just a magic pill and that I have a responsibility to myself to take ownership of my own health care. With his assistance, I feel mentally better than I have in a very long time. He is decent and wants to help you, even if you don't like what he has to say all the time. That's how I know he cares, he is not trying to coddle me. Thanks Doc! I will continue to take your suggestions and further my growth.
Do not, DO NOT take your child to Ayeni. I refuse to call him a doctor because he failed at maintaining the Hippocratic Oath he swore by! When it came time to discharge my child from the hospital, I asked what the discharge plan was. Apparently, *I* was the discharge plan until my child gets accepted (still waiting & it's now June 22, 2021) into a residential treatment facility and that was in May. When I said that is not a discharge plan for a suicidal child, he said "I doubt you can afford to pay $100.00 per day to keep her inpatient." He only slightly did his job when I said I was going to file a formal complaint. He also hung up on me numerous times. When I asked him to slow down and spell out the medications he was rude and condescending. He also put my child (that has an eating disorder) on a "vegan diet." When my daughter called and told me she was only eating potatoes, I raised HELL to get her put back onto a regular, unrestricted diet. Ayeni will raise his voice and verbally and mentally accost you and your child. You've been warned!
Took my daughter to Dr Ayeni 4 months ago. I’ve got to say I’m a healthcare professional so I wanted to make sure I chose a compassionate doctor to send her to. The way I look at these things is who would I send my family member to if they needed a doctor. This is the way I chose how to refer my patients to. So for me it was a no brainer when the time came for me to actually send my most beautiful possession to a psychiatrist. For me the choice was easy. I chose Dr Ayeni. He takes his time to listen to her. He put her on the right medication and I’m proud to say the she is doing the best I’ve seen in a couple of years. Anytime someone asks me who to send their loved one to, it’s an easy recommendation. I do and will continue to send my friends and family to Dr. Ayeni.
My wife and I went to Dr Ayeni for a Evaluation for Bariatric Surgery in Feb of 2020 just before COVID19 hit us and the shutdowns begin, received a Clearance to Participate in Bariatric Resources (this is a mandatory step) and we moved on to fulfill the requirements for our insurance. Jump forward to December and many steps and appointments later and the insurance tells us that they can't schedule my wife for surgery because of the wording on the Evaluation paperwork. We call the Good Dr. and explain that we need clarification and he states, that will take another appointment in January. As anyone who has worked to meet a insurance deductible knows, waiting until January means meeting your deductible again in full for surgery. I try to explain this and the Dr cuts me off and begins to berate me for waiting so long to let him know that we need something more from him, he actually said "I'm the Doctor and I tell you what to do, you don't tell me what i'll do! Do you know what M.D. stands for? I doubt that you do!" at this point I cut him off and stated that his condensation and sarcasm was not necessary. The Dr. then said he didn't need my business. At this point I devolved and told him where to cram his attitude, and I would find another EFFING Dr. and hung up. I found my need to expedite and clarify a document that he issued and I paid for was met with the worst, rudest behavior from someone who calls themselves a professional in the Behavioral Health field of Medicine. Don't use this egomaniac as your resource to mental health!!!
I've never dealt with a more unprofessional doctor than Dr. Ayeni. He is very defensive when his decisions are questioned, and he is imperious and rude. In my opinion, he is very quick to order people committed to a mental hospital and to prescribe strong psychiatric medications without first considering less aggressive treatments.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
