Dr Ngu performed a life-changing surgery on me nearly a decade ago in another hospital in humble. I was a child, fighting drs for nearly 9 years to find relief from spinal pain. After my first consultation with him I had surgery that saved me from a life for pain and possible paralysis within 2 weeks. Dr Ngu was the only Dr that ever asked me how I was doing mentally. When I told him I wanted to give up I saw a sense of urgency in his eyes that made me feel like I wasn't alone anymore. He fought to get me off of the numerous pain medications I had been prescribed. My insurance denied the life changing surgery that kept me out of a wheelchair and he found a way to perform surgery that my family was capable of because he cared about me as a person and not a paycheck. I still tell people about him. I give out his name and number at every opportunity. He gave me my life back, I owe him the last 10 years and everything I was able to enjoy during them. I will owe him forever for his humanity and kindness.

I was truly disappointed... Went in for my first new patient appointment, at first was impressed by the lobby and greeting. When given new patient forms to fill out it kept going and going and going, over 30 pages ! Took me over an hour to fill out, plus if you wanted copies of anything there was a charge, if you needed forms filled out there was another charge ! Once I was in the room the doctor was short with me. His suggestion was pain management for spinal epidural injections, which I had already and was horrible experience for me. He didnt even give me a chance to explain what took place when I got them last time and was denying doing again... His response was well thats all I can offer and ended the exam. I had spent a lot of time putting together medical history of my back and never even got to share it with him. Do not recommend

Dr. Ngu has been my spine surgeon for a couple of years now and he has not disappointed me yet!! His bedside manner and professionalism is at a level that I’ve only experienced with a couple of caregivers. He not only hears you, but he actually listens and understands your needs. Love the ladies in his office too . . . extra sweet.

My husband went through 2 surgeries with Dr. Ngu. Neck and lower back. Since day 2 of recovery from the lower back surgery, he has been in extreme pain from peripheral neuropathy. He did not have this until the surgery. We've been to numerous pain management doctors, and they could not get a needle in to help the nerve. The hardware was placed too tight. We were told by one of the pain doctors that Dr. Ngu referred us to, that it needed to be redone. We've moved out of state since, our doctor here in KC has re-done the hardware in his lower back. He is now disabled and cannot work. Left side of the attached picture is before, right side is after our new surgeon corrected what Dr. Ngu did.

Do not use this facility!! Staff is about as unorganized and pathetic as you can get!! Unprofessional! Lost my CD and Report I gave them just a few days before! Told me my insurance was covered, than a few days later said it wasn’t…..How does that even happen! Smh

This will be my 3rd surgery from Dr. NGU. He is an excellent surgeon and has helped me so,so much and his staff is excellent. I would never let anyone else do surgery on my back.

Dr. Ngu is highly skilled, compassionate, and ethical. He gives his patients the best opportunity for a successful surgical outcome.

A wealth of experience, personable, takes the time you need, amazing skills! I couldn’t say enough good things about Dr. Ghu AND his staff!
