Bruce Lachterman's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr Kantis for several years. He is a very compassionate, caring Dr who will answer any questions you may have. He always puts you at ease and explains everything in detail to his patients. I would recommend Dr Kantis to any patients needing a cardiologist. They will be in good hands.

Polite and helpful

dr brenda peabody has been my cardiologist for many years,even berfore she joined this group of doctors..i recommend them because of my experience with her as a physician..as far as the front desk, there is usually only one person there and i have had no bad experiences with them, nor the current nurse that dr peabody has..she truly has the gift not all physicians have, of "bedside manner!"..

Dr. Lachterman was previously my dad's doctor while he was living. I had cardiac symptoms for more than 6 months. My previous cardiologist could not find my problem. I went to Dr. Lachterman for another opinion. He determined my issue, sent me for a PET scan and placed a stent in my widow maker the next day. I feel great. Dr. Lachterman is a very good doctor. I recommend.

I was having cardiac symptoms and called WNHHC, for the first available appointment. Fortunately for me, Dr Aertker had an opening. After a consultation and some tests, he scheduled me for outpatient surgery to implant a cardiac stent. Dr Aertker is kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I was very pleased with his services.The front office staff is not as accommodating as the doctors, I’m sorry to say.

It did not take long for me to figure out how I was going to like this place, number one , the front office is rude , they have no people skills, I seen this one receptionist pretty much throw paper that was not finished back at a older man and told him to sign it, that was really rude, noo smiles, no how is your day etc ( which I did ask and tried to make a pleasant visit) .. just plain out no people skills.. I only set a appointment with this place to get a new cardio doctor, and loved that it was a lady, Dr. Brown, which I thought was nice.. no problem with her. But the dr. assistant was not friendly, WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE THESE DAYS, where is the smiles and how u doing ? how about treating people as people instead of just another patient !!! Today I am canceling all appointments .. you people need to be replaced with a more compassionate and friendly staff .

CANNOT RECOMMEND DR. KANTIS OR WOODLANDS NORTH HOUSTON HEART CENTERWas recommended by my PCP to see Dr. Kantis for an annual stress test. Even though I had insurance the office required all monies upfront before services rendered. Found out later through my insurance, I was overcharged. Was given an EKG. My PCP 2 weeks earlier administered one and was normal. Kantis stated I seemed to have had a heart attack! He ordered a nuclear stress test. This is not the first NST I have had but was the fastest ever, 30 minutes. They usually takes 2 to 3 hours due to wait time needed for the radioactive tracer to be absorbed by the heart. I wanted to walk for the test but Kantis falsified my medical chart stating I informed him i had trouble walking. I was given a cardiac vasodilator. After waiting 3 weeks for the results I call for the results. After 2 days they called, wanted me make another appointment for the results (they wanted more money). Kantis stated the NST was abnormal and wanted to perform an angiogram (more money). I am asymptomatic Do not have any confidence in Kantis or the facility.

Dr Lachterman placed 2 stents in my "widow maker" after a heart attack. I was awake during the entire process and after the surgery, there was only an assistant, to take me back to my room and me. Dr Lachterman had left the operating room without even saying "Boo"; no report that he had finished the operation, what he did, nor any instructions or advice. Poor bedside manner but I walked out of the hospital instead of going feet first!

Dr. Kantis is a joke!!!

Dr Lachterman and his team provides high quality care. I submit prescription request electronically. I get a timely response by telephone, text, email and my electronic record so I am always aware of the status. I was an ICU nurse and Chief nurse and I have a high level knowledge of competency. Dr Lachterman has been providing quality care over his entire career. The Community is so blessed to have him in The Woodlands area.
