List of Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center At The Woodlands Hospital - The Woodlands, Tx's Reviews
I’ve lived with cancer for most of my adult life and have moved all over the country, which means I’ve met more doctors and oncologists than most people ever will. When we moved to Houston and I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, I naturally went to MD Anderson. But life shifted, and I ended up following my oncologist, Dr. Angela Coscio, to the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center. And honestly? It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I didn’t just find a clinic—I found a place rooted in kindness, steadiness, and exceptional care. Everyone here goes above and beyond: the front desk who greet you like you matter, the infusion nurses who blend skill with compassion, the social worker whose support is a lifeline. This place hums with intention and heart. I have quite literally placed my life in their hands. And after talking with other cancer patients who go elsewhere, I’m even more certain I chose well. It amazes me that more people don’t know about this place, because what they offer is rare: care that feels human, hopeful, and fiercely committed. If you need a cancer center that treats you with both expertise and genuine soul, this is it.
When you are first diagnosed with Cancer, it's the most frightening experience ever. I was so fortunate to find the Dan L. Duncan Comprehensive Center, where I met Dr. Yelena Bracchini, MD as my Oncologist. Dr. Bracchini is caring and very thoughtful. She explains everything in a way that brings comfort and hope to the patient, and as a patient you never feel rushed and always feel confident that any and all questions will be answered. The support staff are amazing, always accommodating and ready to help. Every patient leaves their appointment with an "After Visit Summary" detailing everything that happened during your appointment and setting out the next steps in your treatment. I was also appointed Social Workers Anne Litsey and Chandra Dacus who were beyond helpful in finding a surgeon for me. After my surgeries I needed radiation treatment - which I dreaded! However, also at the Dan L Duncan Center, I was referred to Dr. Ather Siddiqi MD who has an incredible team, Jamie Williams, Roy Schneider, Cherlynne Kirby, Melanie Slaydon, Kiran Shetty and Eunice Snaer. My fears were unfounded. Everyone was awesome, from the 1st visit to the 23rd visit when I "rang the bell" with the team and received my "Certificate of Completion". All the staff at the Center feel like part of my extended family now and I can never say thank you enough for caring for me and truly demonstrating "hello humankindness".
Dr. Meza Rios is an amazing doctor. She is very thorough as well as compassionate. Cancer was something that we had never dealt. She was very patient, answered all of our questions, her staff as well as her were very helpful and always quick to respond and assist in questions or treatment issues. Cancer is an extremely scary but Dr Meza Rios and her staff helped us navigate through it with support and comfort.
