3 appointments with Dr. Hogan in 2 different locations, Tomball & The Woodlands, neither location address is correct, it would seem the Doctor would correct this asap, but no he will not, makes his patients play cat & mouse. I use Google maps for everything, . I have since found a new Urologist in Cypress that's high rated his name is Dr. James Stocks.
By far the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a healthcare provider.
the dr. was alright but the staff is confused, unconcerned & lazy....when i call to leave a message nobody ever returns the calls,,i've left messages 3 times & have yet to receive a call...lookin' for another urologist as we speak
Dr. Hogan was extremely friendly and patient with all my questions. His team provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend
I was told I had a procedure scheduled for July 7, 2022 and would be receiving a follow up email with my information for the procedure. I had heard nothing and received no information. On June 27th I called and attempted to find out what I needed to know for the procedure. I was told the the email went out June 3rd. I checked spam and there was nothing. I asked what email it was sent to and the gave me an incorrect email. I tried to get information but the person on the phone couldn't help me and did not try to help. Hopefully someone will read this and contact me. I have no address or any instructions at all. Please Dr. Hogan, have someone that can give me what I need to know.
Dr. Hogan is great; however, trying to reach the office staff for an appointment over the phone or getting a prescription refilled is a daunting task every time. Nobody is answering the phone, regardless of what time during business hours and the patient portal is not functioning.
The staff and have attitudes from hell.... They all cut you off mid sentence, talk over you, not letting you finish a sentence and belittle you..... Wouldn't wish this treatment on my worst enemy...sadly looking for another Urologist... Nobody should be treated like this..
Love Dr Hogan. He is excellent. Unfortunately his staff is very rude. I have called multiple times and have been put on hold for ridiculous amounts of time. Finally, I waited long enough that a very irritated person answered and basically scolded me for asking a question. You just don’t talk to people like this. Sadly, I am looking for another urology clinic.
Dr. Hogan was great, took great care of me and my 6 year old son. The only reason I would not recommend him, is because of his staff. I went to his office a total of 5 times and each time was the same problem with my insurance. Every time they tried charging me a copay, but I do not have a copay. I had to call my insurance while in front of the front desk and have my insurance explain to them that I do not have a copay, for them to update there information. Then when I scheduled the surgery I had to leave a 100$ deposit to hold my appointment. On the paper work it tells me I will get a refund once my insurance pays the bill. Well my surgery was in November of 2020 and to this day I still have not received my 100$ refund. I called my insurance, they informed me that there bill was covered at 100%. I have called the office many times and no one has ever answered, I leave messages and no one ever returns my calls.
Let me start off by saying that Dr. Matthew Hogan did an amazing job with my husbands procedure. We were recommended to him by a friend and everything went incredibly smoothly. HOWEVER, It's VERY sad when you have an amazing doctor but the staff is so unfriendly and don't answer phones or return phone calls. I went with my husband to his procedure at the Woodlands locations and the nurse that took him back was short and very rude with me because I thought I could go with him. A little kindness costs nothing people. Then they kept telling me that the doctor wasn't covered with my insurance - BCBS. I used to work in a billing office and I knew that I just needed to keep pushing. They just kept telling me that because I have an HMO starting with a certain prefix that I wasn't in network. After pushing, calling, calling, and more calling, I FINALLY got them to realize they were wrong. They didn't do their obvious due diligence and put it all on the patient. We paid a deposit and now I have to hound them to get our money back 3 months after the claim was paid in full. Why do they not refund you?? Why do they hold your money until YOU have to go back and ask them for it? I just left one message and assume I will have to call every day leaving messages for about a week until I get to talk to someone, and then wait another week to get it processed. Don't even try to use the billing office phone number - out of service. If you are one of the physicians in this practice you really ought to wipe the slate clean or do more training with your front office staff. Even wearing a mask you can tell when someone is smiling.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
