List of MIchael Briscoe's Reviews
Dr. Briscoe took great care of both of my daughters. He has a great bedside manner with children and his surgical technique ensured quick recoveries.
Was sick for 5 weeks before able to get in to see him. My PCP had exhausted all avenues of treatment. Dr. Briscoe's only recommendation was to use fluonase for 5 days and get a hearing test. I am still in bed sick 3 days later. Will not go back. And his bedside manner is impersonal and unfriendly.
Great doctor and surgeon!
Dr. Briscoe helped my son. My son was having profuse nose bleeds for over an hour each time over a period of several years. Several which landed him in the ER. I took him to Dr. Briscoe and he did a very thorough evaluation. He performed an office procedure to slow down the nose bleeds and during the office procedure found that my son had a deviated septum. He showed me on the camera while he was using the scope. We scheduled surgery to repair it and my son has had zero nose bleeds since then. My son can breathe better, no longer gets headaches, and has a better quality of life from the treatment he received from Dr. Briscoe. Before we tried Dr. Briscoe, other ENTs blamed allergies, had us do expensive allergy testing, and wanted my son to take weekly allergy shots in the office for at least 6 months which wasn’t covered by insurance and had no treatment end date. Not only did Dr. Briscoe fix the problem but he also saved us money and the burden of weekly office visits.
This guy is very thorough and takes the time to explain what and why you may be having issues. Very good.
My god. If you are looking for a place so you can feel worse than you are feeling now, call this office. Talk about searching for a Doctor so you can feel "better". I called this morning to make an appointment for my wife who is not feeling well, and the secretary who took the call, in a very rude way out of patience was just very cutting with her questions, did not have the patience to answer when I asked her for something, started to breath heavy over the phone as frustrated because we called to make an appointment, started to patronize me as if she was doing me a favor, at last because I asked her to check the insurance card again with my full name she responded with "I need to call you later because I have many important calls I need to respond, so when I check in the system at alater time I will call you"PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO ANOTHER OFFICE. I REALLY HOPE THE DOCTOR IS AWARE OF THIS SITUATION.
The previous review made me smile because that's exactly the experience I had with this office's answering service - they've hung up on me 5 times when I tried to call from different phones thinking that it was a problem with my phone. Nope. It's just the same lady in the answering service playing games and treating patients so poorly. She needs coaching and, possibly, disciplinary action as her poor service appears to be a trend... With that said, I can't allow the answering service to put such a horrible shadow on the doctors there - it's just not fair. My visit with Dr. Briscoe was pleasant - he listened to my concerns and provided helpful information upon the exam. No complaints about all other office staff either. I'd filled out all the paperwork prior to arriving there, so my check-in was quick and I didn't have to wait long to be seen - probably 15 minutes for the entire process. I must note that it's the answering service I reached on a Friday afternoon that was so rude hanging up on me (and apparently other people too). When I called back the following week on a Tuesday, the lady who scheduled my appointment was very polite and helpful. She also emailed me all the new patient paperwork, which saved time during the check-in on my visit.
I would not know what his services are like. His incompetent staff would not let me schedule an appointment to see him. They played games hanging up on me. I called from five different phone numbers and they would wait for me to speak and then hang up on me. I am calling to have this doctor removed from the insurance list so that no one else has to go through this type of harassment just to get an appointment.
I went in once and waited a LONG time. Right away the Dr started talking about surgery, before any exam (after seeing a second and third opinion, I do NOT need surgery). Dr eventually ran a culture on the gunk in my nose, and sent to the lab. I didn't receive a call back with any results, so I called multiple times to finally get the results. I was still sick, so since the results were negative, I asked what else could be the cause/be done. No one would EVER call me back, so I finally changed doctors. Then, I get a bill for $398 for them using an out of network lab. I asked if they were sending out of network when they made me sign paperwork for my lab, and they told me they always send in-network. When I called to complain, they told me they would not help me, and I must be mistaken. I was stuck with the bill. So, after getting NO help, I have to pay $398. DO NOT GO HERE! Drive into the med center before ever walking foot in there!
DR . BRISCOE IS ONE OF THE KINDEST AND CARING DOCTORS HE ANSWERED ALL OF MY CONCERNS I FEEL CONFIDENT IN HIS CARE . HIS STAFF SND HE ARE EXCEPTIONAL

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
