Vincent Aquino's Online Review Report Card

I don't know who some of these other people met, but my experience with Dr. Aquino after my unexpected heart attack was quite different. The morning after getting back from our 37th wedding anniversary vacation I was taken to the hospital while experiencing a heart attack. I count myself lucky that Dr. Aquino happened to be at the hospital doing rounds when I was brought in. After a few tests, I was brought in to the Cath Lab and was given 3 stints. I just remember how calming and reassuring the doctor's voice was and how much I appreciated that because I had never been in surgery before. Needless to say, I was freaking out! I was in the hospital for 2 days and I seen Dr. Aquino both days. Both visits were very personable and informative. When the hospital discharged me before he came by for rounds, Dr. Aquino called and apologized for not getting to see me before I left and spent nearly ten minutes in the phone with me talking about a little bit of everything including my job. He made sure I was set up to see him in 2 weeks. The call and conversation was completely unexpected and appreciated.I found him to be kind, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely caring.

Attentive, anticipates potential issues.

Dr. Aquino has been our Family Cardiologist for over 40 years! Not only is he a great Dr., but has an impeccable bed side manner. To me, that's everything.Love, love love him!

The worst Cardiologist I've taken my mom to. My mom has had 16 T.IA.'s and 3 major strokes, not all under his care, but even when under his care, she continued to have them. All Dr. Aquino did was feed my mom pill after pill, not doing anything to see if there were other factors causing my mom's strokes. Now that we're seeing another Cardiologist, everything has been turned 180°. This Cardiologist actually wants to find what is causing my mom's strokes and is actually doing more tests. I do not recommend Dr. Aquino to anyone. Horrible, horrible doctor.

I assist an elderly woman with a scheduled appointment at 145 and at the time of arrival, which was early, the rude receptionist responded that it was a 245 appointment. We waited the hour and another 30 minutes till she was called back. I have no idea of the treatment with the Dr. but making an elderly lady wait 1 1/2 hour is unacceptable. The receptionist are very rude and make no attempt to assist in expediting appointments. Hospitality does not exist in this office.

He saved my life and always listens to me and I trust him

There are several reasons for this neg review; instead of referring me to get a necessary procedure, he wanted to try meds, and other things that prolonged my issue. The med he put me on (amiodarone) is very dangerous, and caused sleep issues for me, even though I had told him this, he wanted me to have a sleep study (2nd one in 2.5 years, even though the first one showed I don't have sleep apnea). I essentially went around him to the electrophysiologist, had the ablation and now feel great.

This man has personally kept my father alive for the past 25 years since his first heart attack with vigilant monitoring of medicines and advanced screening done routinely. Wait time, bedside manner, etc does not enter into the equation when you need someone to save your life and buy you precious time with your family. This is not who go to for the sniffles. Anyone lucky enough to have an appointment with dr. Aquino is very fortunate to have waded through the hundreds of doctors out there and come in contact with him. I am eternally grateful for what he has done for my father and our family.

Dr, Aquino is very unprofessional in his dealings with patients and their families. We had a very difficult time with him when we would ask only basic questions about my dad's cardiology care. Too, he really thinks he is so cute. Reminds me of a 12 year old. My neighbor had a very similar experience with her family member and Dr. Aquino. Stay Away
