Tried to push cow’s milk over breast milk because my baby suddenly is one. That makes a lot of sense. Apparently it’s bad to breastfeed past one. Too bad the AAP and WHO don’t agree.
Muy buena pediatra
Dr. Begum is knowledgeable, patient and kind. Her staff is welcoming and helpful.
Dr. Begum has been one of the best pediatricians we have met. She is caring, compassionate and most importantly EXTREMELY knowledgeable. Any time we had a situation we were in doubt about, we would call and ALWAYS get a call back. Unfortunately we are now too far and had to find another doctor (who we also like) but every couple years we come back for a general checkup. I just really trust her and her judgement.
Front staff are rude and forget you have an appointment. As for Afroza Begum, note I do not use the title Doctor for she does not deserve such a title. This cold, abrupt and rude woman would be better suited in a labratory, alone never having to interact with people. In my 25 years as a professional emergency medical care provider, I have never received such a non-interactive, thoughtless physician who had to look at her computer when I asked her what my first name was. I would prefer a walk-in-clinic over one more 10 minute appointment with this woman. If you have any need for a supportive, health care provider who cares about YOU and if you expect warmth and concern and maybe, just maybe someone who could advocate for your needs, she ain't the one.
I love Dr. Begum. I just want to put that out there. She is wonderful and gentle with my daughter, I just can't deal with her office staff any longer. Phone calls never get picked up and if you leave a message they never call back. I am *literally* on call #6 today, JUST to make an appointment and I've been on hold for over 15 minutes. (From what I understand from higher staff memebers this has been an on-going problem for a while...I don't understand why they don't just fire this secretary and get a new one. The doctor is suffering for the secretary's neglect).
The thing I love most about Dr. Begum is that right when I left I had a quick question regarding the medicine that was prescribed to my son and when I called the nurses line Dr. Begum got on the phone and talked to me so I felt comfortable. She's very helpful and wants to make sure you feel comfortable at all times. Shes very easy to get a hold of and is very smart! I would highly recommend this doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
