My elderly mother was in the hospital and seen by Dr. Akpassa. He was rude, condescending and scolded her for repeating info she gave him the day before saying, “You already told me that”. He prescribed a medication when she was d/c with instructions on taking it but didn’t write out a prescription nor did he send it to the pharmacy. I called the hospital to ask about this. He refused to issue a prescription saying her primary care doctor could take care of it. She WILL NOT see him again!

Dr Akpassa was my doctor at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall however i am also an employee of there as well. Dr Akpassa is one of the best hospitalist we have. As one of his patients in the hospital, I believe i recieved the best care possible in a timely manner & he took the time to talk & explain to me everything that was going on, gave me several options, guidlines, and was also available for any questions or comments I had. I highly recommend him to anyone!
