List of Lester Collins's Reviews
My first visit with Dr. Collins today. I was nervous because my previous neurologist was amazing but sadly retired and I didn't know how Dr. Collins would be. I must say that I am 100% on board with him. He was professional but very pleasant, down to earth, willing to listen, asked questions and didn't have one foot out of the door. I never felt rushed or belittled. Office staff very efficient and very little wait time. I very happy to have found Dr. Collins and will definitely recommend him.
Dr. Collins gave my mother answers she so desperately needed. He was straight forward but compassionate. We appreciated him so much.
Man I went to a new neurologist today. I have been worried about my tremors being related to my former drug use so I very carefully remarked that I had a drug problem until 2005. He looked at me and said "Well...what kind of drug did you use?" I told him meth and he slammed my folder shut and put his phone away. He said "Well that's your problem. You fried your brain. That stuff kills your brain that's your problem." He stood up and pushed the computer away and turned and walked out. I was humiliated and horrified. My Mama was right there. She looked confused and embarrassed. After we left we were on our way home and I apologized and told her that that's why I have never told anyone else about my addiction. It's tough enough to own my drug history much less to have it thrown into my face. Needless to say that I won't be going back. What a terrible day. My poor Mama. ??
There isnt a better neurologist in town! He listens and lets you give your input on your treatment. If you want something and its not life threatening, hes all in. He also doesnt mind suggesting supplements and natural remedies for certain things. He very thorough and always has a positive attitude.
Dr Lester Collins is a great Neurologist
Went to see Collins. After ten minutes of verbal short tests, he declared that nothing was wrong with my memory. (But a year after going to see him, I can remember nothing. Even minute to minute. Let alone daily.) Then he said that I was depressed; I wasn't. Even though I told him I was not depressed, he proceeded to prescribe and anti-depressant... One that, after insurance, cost $125.00 co-pay per month. I would never accuse him of being in bed with big pharma........
Dr. Collins is truly one of the finest physicians I have ever known! He is caring yet thorough in his ability to diagnose and treat complex problems.
Tina is "the straw that stirs the drink". She adds the personal touch that is often missing in the majority of offices nowadays. Being a "drug rep" for 35 years gives one an insight into the complexities of how day-to-day offices cope with patient care and I can assure you that this group deals with multiple things every day in an efficient manner---Also I can add that Lisa is a multi task type of "gatekeeper" up front & has never just "put me off" on any inquiry of mine--You have other choices in the medical field,so don't spend your time bad mouthing a group trying to do a hard job on a daily basis.
I have been a patient of Dr. Collins for the past 3 years, he promptly, and accurately diagnosed my condition, and he has a excellent staff that are prompt, will answer any questions, return any phone calls, and address any problem with medications are problems I have having with my neurological issues which have arisen His nursing staff is top notch and Tina is very attentive and professional and proficient in her job. She takes such a burden off of Dr. Collins, and is such a sweet nurse, and kind courteous to all Dr. C0llins patients
COLLINS IS A GOOD DR... IN THIS PARTICULAR FIELD, SOMETIMES A DIAGNOSES TAKES TIME. IM A PATIENT OF THERE'S AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME. IN RESPONCE TO THE NEGITIVE COMMENT ABOUT HIS NURSE TINA... THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. TINA IS VERY KIND AND COMPASSIONATE AND TAKES HER JOB SERIOUSLY. IM A BUSY MAN BUT WHEN I SEEN THIS I HAD TO TELL THE TRUTH AND SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
