If you come here looking for professional help with your mental health, don’t expect professionalism or compassion. The receptionist is rude and condescending and the doctor is irresponsible, and unkind to people that are hurting and need help with their mental health. It’s disgraceful for a medical “professional” especially one that deals with mental health to treat another human being the way he treated my child. As a patient for many years in clinics of north Texas with other caregivers, I’m appalled they allow this kind of behavior. You’ve been warned, avoid this person like the plague!

He’s smart, kind, very courteous, doesn’t judge or ever make me feel as if just another patient. He has taken care of emergencies I’ve gotten in. I can’t say enough of how much I appreciate him. Anna is top notch. Takes care of a huge amount of work detail but takes the time to return calls or tell Dr. Barnhart my concerns. I don’t know why anyone would have a problem with either her or Dr. Barnhart.

I’ve been with Dr Barnhart right at 20 years. He’s ( and his front desk staff) been there through thick and thin with me pulling me through several really rough places in my life with courage, compassion and always professional. I wouldn’t trade him for the world. I hope he’s older than me so he won’t outlive me!

I'm giving them 1 stars because 0 is not an option. I've dealt with 2 separate MDs at clinics of north Texas and have not been happy with either. The office staff is incompetent and incapable of do even the simplest task to insure patients are cared for.

Dr. Barnhart always takes time to listen to any questions or concerns I have. He is extremely knowledgeable about treatment options. He was recommended by many as the best Psychiatrist in our community and I would agree wholeheartedly.
