List of Legend Oaks Healthcare And Rehabilitation Of Waxahachie's Reviews
This place does business horrible. Trying to get someone in is a pain and a long and stressful process, especially when its already stressful having to utilize them. Their communication is terrible.
It is the worst place to have your loved ones in. They don't chart meds or anything correct they have no communication skill what so ever. The staff is a joke and don't take there job serious. They lie about your loved ones progress just to get paid from the insurance companies. I wouldn't even an animal in that place.
Sad how we trust our loved ones w/complete strangers that don’t care about them.Rehab is to work & build them up to go home. Not leave them in the bed for hours not checking on them. Nobody takes responsibility for this! They just make excuses. When my grandpa went out to the hospital the next day his belongings were packed up.He was told he couldn’t come back. Maybe because we stepped in asking to get him sent to the ER because he didn’t seem like hisself. I guess that made them MAD. lol, nobody could even tell the EMS when was the last time he was checked on. Not once did anybody from legend oaks call the hospital to check on him…. But so quick to discharge him. Regardless if he going on hospice, still check on your residents ! Smh.It’s unbelievable !
Great Rehab Dept. They listened to me, explained what and why I was doing the discipline they chose, and answered my many questions. They are continuing therapy at home.I was in this facility 100 days. Although it was not perfect (nothing is), it was all-in-all a good experience. I have been in several rehabs and this was the best by far. They provided an in-room refrigerator of which I took full advantage! I found the food services area to be the most challenging area. Some food was very good; some not so much. My family was able to bring my precious little dog for visits. My visitors felt comfortable coming to see me there. The Activities Dir was always trying to keep everyone informed about activities and published a monthly calendar. To be honest, the nurses aids always seemed to be short-staffed. As always, some were better than others; it is this way in any facility I have stayed in. The Supv of CNAs was always working various shifts to fill-in-the gaps. If you are looking for a great facility for yourself or your loved one, please give Legend Oaks of Waxahachie a look!
i love everyone of the staff here they take great care of me. hard working and kind. i pray for them everyday, they've become a part of my family
I would not recommend,We removed my mother from there. Gave them the 1 star only cause thats how I could post review.
I enjoy going to rehab, its awesome!
Just want to thank the staff and management at Legend Oaks for all they do! Through all the craziness and uncertainty they found so many ways to make dad's stay there wonderful despite not being able to visit him. He is up walking again for the first time in over a year. Thank you!
Best care and the therapy was great. I highly recommend this place.
Don't be deceived by the newness of Legend Oaks Rehab. My 91 year old uncle was there for 3 weeks and we found most of the nursing staff to be apathetic, unresponsive and not proactive.Apparently it's ok to allow the patient call buttons to ring for 20-30 mins during peak times. When you're visiting, you'll continually hear the alarms for the call buttons. When he was short of breath, instead of doctors figuring out the root cause, they put oxygen on him. At the hospital, we found out he has blood clots in his lungs from inactivity. He was in excruciating, burning pain from urine that had backed up (due to an enlarged prostate). They gave him meds after finally getting his urinalysis results back. This was the one time that he received alot of attention because he was yelling out in pain for a few hours. He was transferred to the ER and we moved his stuff out. No other family members will ever be going here again!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
