Visiting Dr. Fernando today was a mistake that I will never forget. Not only did he express an obvious passivity for my medical concerns but he also failed to diagnose a serious condition. I scheduled an appointment at the UT Physicians Clinic located on Space Center to see him because he is considered to be a specialist in the area of Otolaryngology. My medical concern was that I had sore tonsils, pain/difficulty swallowing, and swollen lymph nodes. He checked my lymph nodes and throat and didn't express any concern informing me that I may be coming down with a virus. He then proceeded to brief me on the symptoms of the Coronavirus as if that was what I had. I asked him about my swollen lymph nodes and that I'd always thought that indicated an infection. He told me to take some Ibuprofen for the pain and that he didn't find it necessary to prescribe antibiotics. He also said I would have to just let it run its course. He has seen both my sons and my daughter for surgeries and he is very nice, my children really like him. He explains everything very well also. The only problem is sometimes I have a hard time getting anyone to answer the â??ï¸?.
