List of Kimberly Carpin's Reviews
I had a fat transfer breast augmentation and lift performed by Dr. Carpin roughly 5 weeks ago and I am absolutely thrilled with my results. I had been extremely hesitant to even schedule a consultation because the idea of walking into a plastic surgeons office was intimidating to me. I felt at ease with her staff (shout out to Jennifer) the moment I walked in the door. Dr. Carpin and her staff have an excellent bedside manner and took the time to answer all my questions. I really appreciate Dr. Carpin’s thoroughness and attentiveness, she is excellent at what she does.
I paid for rhinoplasty where I stated multiple times that I wanted to lower my bridge/profile so my nose would not appear so large. Dr. Carpin suggested that I also fix a deviated septum due to my nose curving to the right and she wanted to add a lift to the tip. When I came out of surgery I was in excruciating pain in the nose area but was confused as to why I had no bruising around the eyes. She stated that she did measurements using photos the night before surgery on my nose to face ratio and concluded that it was HER belief that my profile was fine for my face, all she did was cut cartilage inside the tip. She did not mention this at all in the months leading up to surgery. She did not touch the bridge at all, which is the only reason I wanted the procedure. The cartilage that she did work on in the tip of my nose did not lift, in fact, it dropped which created an unattractive hump in my nose that was not there before and my columella hangs. The deviated septum remains the same. I told her was not happy with my results at every follow up and she kept insisting it was just swelling. After I was completely healed she admitted that the work she intended to do did not come out like she had hoped and offered a recommendation to a different doctor. She did nothing to compensate for making my nose appear worse that what it did when I went in for a consultation.

Dr Carpin is the very best . She cares about her patient's. I highly recommend Dr Carpin.
I had the best experience with Dr. Carpin and her staff. I had been looking into gynecomastia surgery for years, and after visiting a few surgeons in the area, I was very pleased with my choice in Dr. Carpin. I had a lot of questions and concerns leading up to the procedure. She is very kind and her knowledge and experience made me feel at ease throughout the entire process from the initial appointment to post op follow ups. She followed up with me a few hours after the procedure and was always available in case I had any questions. Her staff is very attentive and helpful. I am very pleased with my results! I highly recommend visiting Dr. Carpin.
Excellent customer service especially with Jennifer. Felt comfortable and at ease with Dr. Carpin answered all my questions and concerns. Extremely happy with my results. Would recommend Dr. Carpin to family and friends. #BBL #TT
I had an in-office Blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Carpin and was so happy with my entire experience with her and her staff. Dr. Carpin was nice, attentive and professional. She addressed all of my concerns about the procedure. She and her staff made me feel comfortable before, during and after my procedure. Also, my results are amazing. I will recommend her to anyone who is trying to look and feel their best.
I have had the very best experience. My procedure went very well. My breast revision turned out just as I had hoped for. Dr Carpin is so kind and understanding with very clear care directions. I felt comfortable asking questions. Her staff are easy to talk with and very helpful.
A new friend! After 3 consultations from 3 different doctors, I stumbled across Dr. Carpin. The minute I left the office I called my husband crying! I said “I AM SO IN LOVE with this Doctor! I have never felt more at home or as if I’m in the presence of a good friend.” He said book it! I’m so glad I did. After 12 years of living with umbilical hernias, torn stomach muscles, and constant pain I’m a new woman. I can call and text with any questions and Dr. Carpin is quick to respond and answers even the most awkward questions. I’ll have to come up with new things I need to have done because I will miss the Doctor and her staff once I’m completely healed.
I am reporting this incident to: 1) Alert the staff that I need a refund of my $6,425 payment because I have not heard back since my first request on July 6, 2021 and 2) Report Dr Carpin's erratic and abusive behavior. On the morning of July 2, 2021 I was scheduled for breast augmentation surgery with Dr Carpin. After meeting with all other necessary members of the surgery team and getting prepped for surgery, Dr Carpin came to talk with me and my daughter, Katie, about the procedure. We had a few final questions about the placement of the implant being below or above the muscle. These questions stemmed from the prior appointments I had with her and my subsequent research on the best placement for me, and her insisting above the muscle would be best. After looking into this further, I found the information she had told me during our consultations was utterly false. Dr Carpin misinformed me about capsular contracture - she said there is far less risk above the muscle, the truth is there is less risk when the implant is placed below the muscle. She misinformed me about the effect of implant placement on mammograms - she said viewing mammograms above and below the muscle are the same, the truth is it's harder to read the mammogram when implants are placed above the muscle. She misinformed me that an implant above the muscle looks more natural - every resource I've read says implants below the muscle are more natural looking. Not to mention I have a very bony chest with little natural breast tissue (I'm an A cup) but she said she could put collagen or fat in my upper chest if needed, I've never heard of this. Upon us asking these questions, Dr Carpin became extremely defensive and abusive. She said we disrespected her and did not trust her judgement. She was very forceful and aggressive about me having the implants put above the muscle, but I had decided on below the muscle instead. She became more and more vocal, to the point that we could not respond or get a word in. Her outrageous behavior continued when she began reprimanding us, saying things like, if she were a male doctor we wouldn't question her judgement, that she's a scientist and an artist and people lately are not respecting her work, that she doesn't get the respect she deserves. Her comments became even more ridiculous when she started comparing breast augmentation surgery to baking a cake and playing with blocks. Dr Carpin stood above Katie and wagged her finger inches away from her face while scolding her asking her, "Have you gone to medical school? Are you a board-certified surgeon? Because I am." Driving my daughter to tears. She then went on to diagnose me at this time with dementia and that I should not be making this decision. I was highly offended and do not think this accusation is at all appropriate for a doctor to make under these heated circumstances. The beratement continued when she scolded me for taking up four times more of her office time than is typical - though I only had two appointments with her. She told Katie that she wasn't a good guardian because she didn't go to the pre-op appointments with me (I don't have or need a guardian). The doctor reprimanded us for 20+ minutes without answering our questions. Finally, Dr Carpin said this surgery should be cancelled because I couldn't make a decision. She then went back and forth between cancelling the surgery and, in a passive-aggressive retort, saying that she would place the implants wherever I wanted, because I know best. She repeated that the surgery should not take place and that the only consequences were that Katie had to get up early and that I had an IV in my arm, insinuating I would get my money back. At that point I noticed her hands shaking and she was visibly upset. With her erratic mental state and physical tremors I did not trust her at that point to do the surgery and agreed to leave. I contacted her office on July 6, 2021 for a refund but have not heard back. Please refund the $6,425 I paid.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
