Recommended my mom to come here based on the great reviews but her experience was worse than terrible. My mom's concerns were constantly dismissed and Dr. Pillai haphazardly diagnosed her with acid reflux and insisted that my mom's coughing had nothing to do with her lungs. We ended up going to another doctor because Dr. Pilllai said nothing else could be done and gave up on her. We found out that my mom's condition was due to a rare lung disease. Dr. Pillai would get mad when my mom asked questions - she answered very condescendingly and angrily to follow-up questions too. The medication she prescribed made my mom's pain worse, but Dr. Pillai insisted it was the right treatment. It obviously was not because the diagnosis should not have even been acid reflux to begin with. That bad prescription really took a toll on my mom's health. Do NOT come here. Other negative reviews are true and very similar to our experience. Any doctor that cares will be better than her.

Dr. Pillai was extremely rude and dismissive of my questions. She didn't care about an accurate diagnosis at all. Her prescription caused me more pain and she insisted it was the right one. Went to another doctor and found out I was completely misdiagnosed.

Brought up multiple concerns to Dr. Pillai and asked her about what caused them. Her response: "how would I know what caused it? I'm not you." How rude! What's the point of going to the doctor if the doctor not only dismisses the pain and won't try to understand it beyond a lay person does, but is also condescending. She kept insisting it was just acid reflux and nothing more. Left and found a good doctor that cared and did multiple lab tests. Turns out to be a rare lung disease :(

My initial consultation with Dr. Pillai was a quite pleasant experience. She listened to my concerns and was very thorough with her examination. I’m so glad that I found her. I am very confident in her diagnosis. Dr. Pillai will be my pulmonologist!

Dr. Pillai is one of the best doctors out there. Not only she’s sweet and friendly she’s also understanding about your problems.. She seems very concerned that any issues that you have. I would recommend her to anyone. Great job Dr Pillai.

We visited Dr Pillai today for a diagnosis of sleep apnea for my husband who is a veteran. Dr Pillai was so nurturing , caring & she completely understood our concerns. She made us feel so comfortable and she definitely showed concern and care for the medical concern. The staff were also super friendly & professional. I would Definitely recommend her she is a wonderful Dr. I would also like to highlight how Diamonique was super sweet & helpful while doing our intake , her professionalism & her kindness did not go unnoticed she made our check in and new patient visit so much easier with all the help she put in the day before. Thank you all so much.

Dr Pillai’s and her staff were awesome! The whole consultation was made exceptional from the first phone call for an appt with Diamonique. She was very helpful and attentive from the beginning and very pleasant. Dr Pillai is definitely about you and the reason your there, as well as taking her time and listening to your cares and concerns. I must say I was very happy with the care I received at her office. I found Regina Pillai after being dissatisfied with another pulmonary doctor a couple of years ago, and I have hit the jackpot! Every single employee that I encounter from front desk to the interns, etc are so very nice it almost made me suspicious (Ha!) She greets me with "good morning, beautiful." She is extremely focused on ME and what I need, and I truly feel like the most important person in the room. She also asks (more than once) what SHE can do to help ME; it is obvious that her time spent with me is focused and not distracted. She also won't send me for any unnecessary tests and explains my results in easy to understand (tell it like it is) language. The office building she is in could certainly use a few dozen more parking spaces.

My dad is 89 years old and very particular about doctors. He couldn’t compliment her enough. She took the time as if he was her only patient. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. I could not be with him so my husband took him and she called me to see if I had anything I would like to share with her for her to know more in depth what was going on with his health as this was his first visit. She is amazing!! The parking is the only downside to this visit.

Very confident in her diagnosis I had a biopsy because of a lung mass in 2019 bY another doctor… I found her & she assured me I didn’t even need to go though that surgery. . After another ct scan, I no longer had a mass on my right I simply have laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR).
