Rudy R Patrick, Md's Online Review Report Card

I had gotten staph after back fusion surgery (3). I had been in and out of the hospital 2X while they tried to located the problem. I had to do the 6 weeks of injection through a pic line these 2X because they could not isolate the staph. The third time the staph developed I had to be rushed to the hospital and spent 4 days in ICU requiring blood. Doctor Rudy was always by my side checking in on me. During one of our chats we discussed that the only that was different was the hardware for the fusions (root cause analysts). He was instrumental in having an expert re-examining some of my cat-scans and X Rays. It was then decided to go in and remove the hardware because by that time the fusions had taken hold. It was explained to me that the staph was in with the screws. I was then back on the 6 weeks of antibiotics injections but was cleared of any infection after that. Doctor Rudy was always coming in and checking on me during my stays in the hospital. When I was was in ICU you could truly see the hurt in his face for what I was going through. It was his caring and expertise that allowed 2nd looks to be done on test that allowed me to be back living a normal life. The nurses I think took extra care of me also because they liked when he came to see me. They all thought he was so good looking. To me he was just a great doctor who truly cared about his patients. Thank you Doctor Rudy, Steve.

Dr. Rudy has a great bedside manner. He takes time to visit with you and is a very professional and likeable man. Please note my overall rating does not reflect upon Dr. Rudy but, rather his office manager. I am not sure if Dr. Rudy realizes how rude his office manager can be or how her behavior may impact his business. Maybe he doesn't care but, he should. His office Manager has been rude to both my wife and I on several occasions. In our case it has happened when trying to get authorizations for prescription refills. On several occasions (and more than one Pharmacy), Dr. Rudy's office manager claims she has not received an authorization fax from my Pharmacy. I could understand this happening once in a while but, on a regular basis... I find it troubling. I also find it troubling that his office manager immediately blames the Pharmacies for being at fault. Especially, when the Pharmacy shows me confirmation their fax went through. Dr. Rudy's office manager not only gets rude, she gets down right nasty and defensive. It is a real shame because we really like Dr. Rudy however, we will be looking for another Doctor with a patient friendly staff.

I had an appointment with Dr. Rudy R Patrick for 12:15 pm, after waiting 30 minutes (12:45pm ) I notice that I did not hear any background noise like other places where you can hear people patients etc. Doctor Rudy R Patrick was not even at the place I spoke with the receptionist and she said Dr. will be there at 1:00pm and asked me if I want to re-schedule my appointment ARE YOU SERIOUS? after waiting 30 minutes for nothing. That was my first time at the Dr. Office and my last time horrible experience

I found Dr. Rudy to be caring and professional. However, his staff is completely opposite. The receptionist has a very defensive attitude and lacks professionalism and tact. She is without a doubt the worst receptionist I have encountered at what should be a very professional office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rudy's since 1999 with HIV. He always spends as much time as I need on each visit. He goes over each lab result in detail and answers all questions without rushing you. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Rudy.

Dr. Rudy possesses that rare blend between mastery of science and an intuitive, caring demeanor. As a nurse and a patient I have seen him pull patients back from the brink of death many times. He is just that good.
