Sgf Houston - Clear Lake's Online Review Report Card

I am beyond pleased with SGF Clear Lake. Jeanine is a FANTASTIC NP and I couldn’t have done this process without her! And Dr. Crochet is the best doctor you can ask for. I feel blessed that I had the team that I did! Thank you for everything and making my dream come true!!!

We started seeing Dr. Crochet in 2014. Dr. Crochet gave us his best medical advice and informed us that I had unexplained infertility, so we knew we had a challenging journey ahead of us. We met with other doctors as well to hear other options but did not have success. We came back to see Dr. Crochet in 2019. He is always personable and listened intently to all our concerns. He then mapped out a plan that was very specific to me. Dr. Crochet and the staff at Shady Grove Fertility were very patient with us during the entire process. We now have our baby boy, and we thank God that He put such a wonderful medical staff in our lives that led to this miracle.

I have been recommending Dr. Crochet at Shady Grove Fertility to anyone who needs it! The front desk and nurse staff were so nice. Each time I met with Dr. Crochet he was incredibly well prepared and took the time to answer every single question I had with a very thoughtful answer. He was very patient and thoughtful with what medicines and procedures we tried, but he was also very vocal about not wanting to waste any precious time and maximize our odds quickly. Appointments were pretty easy to make and the staff was very knowledgeable about my coverage and insurance benefits. The most difficult issue I came across was trying to get a hold of someone after hours. The answering machine is nice unless you have a very urgent question. It put me in a bind a few times. Once I needed to urgently speak with a nurse because I had difficultly mixing the injection for the first time. I would recommend taking the time to have the nurse or doctor go over the injection process in person with you instead of relying on the video they provide (which showed different methods and medicines than I received). I am happily 8 months along with our first miracle baby and would go back in a heart beat when we are ready for our second.

Janine Price, Gina with Quest, and Dr. Schnell were fabulous! We felt so comfortable from the beginning and ended up feeling like family towards the end! We got pregnant after our second FET with Dr. Schnell and feel so grateful to everyone that helped us at SGF Houston at Clear Lake!

I wanted to recognize not only SFG as a whole but a very special nurse. Ms. Price was such an amazing addition to an already great team in Spring. She provided additional guidance and advise as I was sometimes self conscious about my concerns. I am truly greatful for her knowledge and experience. She made my successful journey that much better.

Overall had a good experience but some major frustrations as well. The doctor was knowledgeable and the nurses and other staff were nice. It was wonderful that the office opens relatively early, I could even get lab appointments before 7am. Communication with the medical team was SUPER frustrating. Every time you want to talk to them, you need to leave a voicemail and MAYBE they'll call you back within 24 hrs. I wasn't given good guidance or direction on medications and I ended up having to order several medications last minute urgently to get them in time. Recommend having the team go over details on how / when to get each of the medications. Sometimes insurance can hold up the process, so better to start early. At my last ob appointment, I signed paperwork for the office to transfer my records to my normal doctor within 12-14 days. It didn't happen, apparently I was expected to bring the packet of paper copies to my doctor, which would have been fine if they told me I should do that from the start. You will stay on with them for 10 weeks after getting pregnant and then transfer to your normal doctor. Recommend reaching out to your doctor to give them a heads up, especially if you're wanting any first trimester genetic testing (we ended up getting pregnant naturally and stayed with SGF for 10 weeks and I felt behind when I transferred to my doctor).

Massively unhelpful. Tried calling both local and corporate scheduling lines as a new patient. Local line never answered and never returned voicemails or online request to schedule. Went into the office to attempt to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. A referral was sent by my doctor and the receptionist refused to look for it.

Dr. Crochet's entire team at SGF totally exceeded all expectations I had being brand new to fertility treatment. I thought it would be a year or at the very least several months to achieve my goal of becoming pregnant. Sitting down with Dr. Crochet started my journey well. He was very easy going and open to answering my 100 questions I had going in, and gave his professional opinion regarding all. His PA Jeanine was also patient when conducting my ultrasounds and answering all questions and or worries I had. Dr. Crochet's nurses Brittany, Cara, and Melissa all returned my phone calls within a couple of hours, and were available to answer any questions or concerns I had. Medical Assistant Marissa and phlebotomist Gina were also very welcoming and kind throughout the process. I would highly recommend Dr. Crochet's team to any couple looking to expand their family. It is clear that they are all very passionate about what they do. They truly make you feel wanted, not just like some number, and it worked!!! Who would have thought a woman older than 35 would become pregnant on the very 1st IUI having only around a 15 % chance doing so! HUGE KUDOS to all of them!!! Thank you all soooo much for what you do !!! We can't wait to meet our little girl :)

Worst place ever always over booked

Highly recommend this clinic! Dr Crochet was our doctor, he and his team are great & i am currently almost 22 weeks pregnant with our baby girl! Me and my husband moved to the US about 3 years ago, and its kinda weird going through the whole IVF process in another country. But we felt so comfortable from the start, never once did we feel like a number. Communication was also great from start to finish. So happy with all the calls and updates during our IVF cycle, got a response back quickly whenever i left a message. Just a really good experience in general! We’ll definitely be back as we have 6 more frozen embryos.
