Great Dr he really cares

Great doc, would go again I read a lot of bad reviews and was nervous but I like a doc who cared.

Worst customer service ! No work ethic .its a shame Dr's offices as such are still open ! It doesnt matter what kind of education you have if people r not being treated well. It's called morals and values . If there was 0-5 star rating I'd give you a 0...

I RECENTLY MOVED MY MOM TO THIS PHYSICIAN, SECONDARY TO LIVING LOCATIONS BUT IN 2 VISITS AT OFFICE I HAVE BEEN GREATLY DISAPPOINTED. HIS STAFF DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON PRESCRIPTIONS OR PROPERLY ANSWER PHONES TO ASSIST CALLER, PHARMACY HAS TRIED CONTACTING THEM, AS WELL AS I HAVE, LEFT MESSAGE AT THE MCALLEN LOCATION ON ANSWERING MACHINE AND CALLED WESLACO WITH NO ANSWER , YESTERDAY I WAS LEFT ON HOLD FOR 15+ MINUTES THEN PROMISED RXs WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF AND THEY FAILED. DR WOULD NOT SIGN PAPERS MOM NEEDED FOR HOMEHEALTH TILL SHE GOT LABS AND SAW A REFERRED SPECIALIST, LABS ARE NOT DUE TILL END OF MONTH FROM THE LAST ONES TAKEN 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO. PATIENT SUFFERS CONSEQUENCES DUE TO THEIR INADEQUACY.

He is very unprofessional and inpatient he thinks everyone is ignorant i asked him a question because I couldn’t understand what he was saying and he took offense and looked at me like are you stupid i will never go back to this doctor even if my life depended on him. Would not recommend, very rude.

Terrible Doctor and terrible rude staff. Dr. Calvo needs to make it a point to his patients that he know all things medical and you are an idiot for even trying to explain your symptoms to him, or any condition you may have. He does not care about anything except collecting insurance payments. Looks like he needs the money, the office is old and falling apart with equipment from what looks like the 80's. He will send you out to get unnecessary tests. I got blood work done to have the usual tings checked-out like cholesterol, glucose ect... By this time I made an appointment with a different doctor and rather have another set of blood work done, I just wanted to get a copy of my labs. I called the office and asked what the process was to get a copy. The receptionist, AKA his wife, explained that I needed to go in and see the doctor in order to get a copy of my results, I explained that, that is not correct, I do not need to see the doctor to get a copy of my medical records, and that i did not want to see Dr. Calvo anymore. She insisted that I did need to see the doctor. At this point after arguing with her for 5 minutes, I told her, I was going to report this office for refusing to give me my medical records. She immediately changed her tune and explain that all I had to do is go in and sign, and I told her, that is not what you were saying. Of course she explained that she had told me all I had to do is go in sign and get a copy, which she did not. Stay away from this place.

I would never schedule an appointment here especially with that lady that answers the phone she is so rude ! I have never had anyone talk to me the way she has and she slammed the phone when she hung up on me , I asked for her name and she hung up, but I do know she got upset because she doesn’t speak Spanish.

The Dr. Explained he was hard of hearing, but not rude explained himself well. I would never go see him because his staff is not professional what so ever.

He is rude and impatient and laughs at your response to his questions. I felt humilitaed and degrated by him and walked out on him after he just about called me stupid.
