I met Dr. Purdy when he first came to Olney and became medical director at the Archer City nursing center. He is very easy for the staff to work with and can always reach him. I trusted him enough to start using him myself and now many of my family members use him and really like him.

Patients should consider the skill and dedication a doctor has, if you want to be entertained and told what you want to hear the go to a circus, I have found Dr. Purdy to be honest, dedicated, and caring, what more could you expect from anyone?

Horrible patient relations, unorganized office staff. I am 18 weeks pregnant with my first child after recently going through the death of my husband. At first I thought he was super calm and just what I needed. Turns out, his hands off approach is really just a lack or care. After my very first visit I was given a appointment for my next visit but wasn't told it would be in a completely different office 20 miles from where I originally went. 13 weeks in I called to tell him that I had something wrong with my hip (it was out of place and I literally couldn't walk) his nurse didn't call me back for hours and when she did, knowing I am a single mother, told me to drive to the clinic the next day. How was I suppose to drive when I couldn't stand? Luckily, I have a chiropractor friend who was able to help. Dr. Purdy never followed up or asked what happened in my follow up appointments. At 16 weeks I had requested to try to hear the heartbeat again and he said we couldn't yet. However, I own a cheap monitor and I've been able to hear it since 15 weeks now. His office staff is rude and under qualified. I finally decided to switch to a better OBGYN when his staff completely forgot to set up my next prenatal appointment and call me with a date and time like they said they would. When I called back to make an appointment weeks later, I was directed to his nurse's voicemail and told I would get a call back within the day. She NEVER called back. If you'd like a doctor that genuinely cares for you and an office staff that is properly trained DO NOT let this man or his staff anywhere near you. I worked with Dr. Purdy as a nurse. I really enjoyed working with him for several reasons. Mainly because he was always available by text to take care of his patients. He has a great bedside manner with young and old alike. I trust him enough to ask him to be my family doctor. Tina Gage RN

He could learn a thing or two about a good handshake. He could also do better at following up with what he says he will do. Other then that he's a good doctor. I would say great but I never feel like he wants to fully help.

Dr Purdy is a personable & amazing Dr. My whole family goes to him. He doesn't treat you like just another patient. He treats you like a friend he cares about and he spends the necessary time. He's on top of tests, follows up & is so helpful.

Dr. Purdy is kind and concerned about every issue. After calling reporting an issue no matter how small with his nurse, he follows up with a phone call to check on you. Depending on the issue he may even call you twice in one day. He answers all my questions and was able to work with me on delivery date i requested. He has an excellent bedside manner and always makes me feel comfortable. He also explains what to expect and what he would like to see as your pregnancy progresses. I would recommend anyone who is or plans to become pregnant to Dr. Aaron Purdy!
