I’ve never been a client but I’ve heard good things

Great Doctor! I knew his family growing up. He's a great kind Doctor. He helped refer me to other good doctors because I'm not a lady 🤣 But is still well loved among many and everyone I know that has personally gone to him has found great satisfaction. Has great bedside manners

I try to give good reviews and at least do 2 stars even if I don’t have a good experience somewhere, because there’s always at least one good thing about a place or person… Or so I thought. Doctor Astle is singlehandedly the worst doctor of any kind I’ve ever had. #1 DIDN’T LISTEN. He told me that I was on “too many medications”. I said that I’d had a preconception consultation with a high-risk pregnancy clinic for that reason, and that OBGYN said my regimen was safe and approved of it. Astle doubled down, saying I was on too many medications (not that the medications I am on aren’t safe during a pregnancy… I think he knew deep down they were… just that he didn’t like the amount. #2 INSENSITIVE AND CONDESCENDING TOWARDS MY BATTLES WITH MENTAL HEALTH. He said if I tried hard enough, I wouldn’t need that psychiatric medication. Didn’t ask how hard I already was trying. Just assumed I wasn’t trying hard enough since I needed the medications I’m on. #3 COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. He took a phone call during my appointment. It was another doctor I’d seen at that practice (I saw them, was referred to the high risk clinic and told to schedule with another OBGYN at the practice after that because they were actually only taking new patients who were already pregnant). I know it was that other doctor because I recognized her voice (I could hear both sides of his call without speakerphone). They talked about me IN FRONT OF ME and when he got off the phone he said the call was about a patient of their’s that had just gotten out of surgery… he must not have realized that one, I’m not an idiot, and two, I’d been able to hear his colleague on the other end. #4 HE CLEARLY HAD NO INTEREST IN HELPING ME GET PREGNANT. Dr. Astle literally finished our appointment by saying, “Well… I suppose you’re not using birth control… I guess we’ll just have to deal with it if you get pregnant”. I went home and cried to my husband after that appointment. I’ve never been so discouraged or insulted by a doctor (Someone who should be working to help me - not actively routing against me - since I’M paying THEM) in my life. I would NEVER recommend doctor Astle.

Astle doubled down, said I was on too many meds (not that the meds I’m on aren’t safe during pregnancy… I think he knew they were… just that he didn’t like how many). #2 INSENSITIVE/CONDESCENDING TOWARDS MENTAL HEALTH BATTLES. Ending the appointment by saying, “I guess you’re not using birth control… I suppose we’ll just have to DEAL WITH IT if you get pregnant.” I literally went home & cried to my husband.

Just the best, both his bedside manor and knowledge. I am new to the area and so happy I found Dr. Astle. I had surgery a week ago. I felt fully taken care of by him, the nurses and the anesthesiologist, Dr. Allen. I am so confident in his care.

Dr. Craig Astle is an awesome OBGYN with sound judgment, and gives a clear and crisp diagnosis for both OB moms and GYN issues. His bedside manner is kind and caring. Highly recommend him. I have gone to Dr. Astle for years and have always been pleased.

I have been going to Dr. Astle for over 15 years. He is absolutely wonderful! He has a great bedside manner and always listens to my concerns and answers any questions I may have. I highly recommend him!
