Originally I was seeing another Dr. but needed to get in sooner..so I saw Alisa. I wanted to go back to my original Dr. but the facility told me I couldn't. I have seen her for years now and after deciding to see another Dr. at a different facility..I was right from the beginning when at first I wanted to go back to my original Dr. She is demeaning and degrading.

Alisa is a wonderful doctor, who takes the time to make a very difficult patient like me, with my TBI, feel comfortable and cared for.

She's been my PCP for 15 years. Before I found her, my doctor visits often felt rushed, like before the doctor even entered the exam room, he had his mind made up as to how to treat me. But despite their knowledge and training, I LIVE 24/7 in my body! They DON'T! In contrast, I have usually felt that Dr. Knowlton takes whatever time I need, listens to me and merely applies all her knowledge to what I'm feeling and going through. She feels more like a partner in my healthcare than any other doctor I've ever seen.

Alisa Knowlton is a wonderful doctor. She’s been my doctor since 2003,I wouldn’t have anyone else. She takes the time to listen and help. I highly recommend Alisa!

Imagine a female version of Dr. House without the genius part. Rude. Chip on her shoulder. Has an agenda. Most likely won’t be able to get the medication you need. Don’t walk, run away from her.

Dr. Knowlton was frustrated with me that I wasn't describing my symptoms to her liking/specifications. I told her about a medical condition that I have and she said that it does not cause pain. I thought that was rude because I was experiencing severe pain. Rather than listen to me she talked at me and listed off statistics about my medical condition. She did get write orders for me to get bloodwork and an appt with with radiology so I'm glad she at least did that. I won't be seeing her again.

I would recommend Dr. Knowlton. She listens, is patient and knowledgeable and gives correct treatment. Her office visits are organized and fairly quick to be seen. She's been my family doctor for about 15 years. Highly recommend.
