List of Jed T Poll Md's Reviews
I received an exam Dr Poll was paid by United Healthcare Medicare Advantage Plan 2 my insurance company only to learn if I want a written Rx it’s another $50. Seems he should not participate if he thinks not paid enough snd wxnts more. $$$
Dr. Poll performed eyelid surgery for me. It was a breeze. All I got was a headache and I believe that was from fasting the night before. I had bruises of course for a week or so but wore sunglasses. He had a pleasing bedside manner and has performed eye exams for me as well. I'm making an appointment today to visit him for an exam.
Too bad I can't give them less than 1 star. Worst medical experience of my life. Cataract surgery, the staff dislocated the new lense the day after surgery. I had to have another doctor go through my eye, and put the lense back in place in the exam room of the office, after which they glued the incision and placed a contact lense over the top. Dr. Poll was unavailable, and refused to fix it at the surgical center under anesthesia. On top of the temporary blindness in one eye, extreme pain and inconvenience, they sent me to collection for an amount I did not owe, and that Dr. Poll said he would take care of, but didn't bother.
I went to Dr Poll for a chalazion/stye removal due to having issues for months. Dr Poll asked me "have you tried anything or just wishing them away". I have tried the standard recommendation of a warm compress 2 times daily. However, I obtained another stye and lost my eyelashes. Dr Poll belittled me throughout my appointment and was condescending. I went to him as a referral from my PCP. Dr Poll put down my insurance company, my primary care provider, and another ophthalmologist whom I saw for PRK surgery a few years ago. In summary, DO NOT entrust your health with Dr Poll.

I had a bad experience with not only him, but the front office staff. When I called in, I was told it was a free eye exam. When I got there, they tried to hit me up for $50 co-pay and when I told them it was free with my insurance, all they said was we can't guarantee anything. Then my eyes are looked at by both Poll and his assistant. Both asked me for my old eyeglasses. I was never told to bring them in. Poll seemed annoyed by this and after he checked me out with a prescription, he sent me on my merry way with no dark eye exam glasses. I get outside and because Of the eye drops and no dark glasses, the brightness of the sun hurt my eyes really bad and I was squinting.
Awful billing dept. I will never return to Dr Polls office. Finally got help with my eyes going to a Target Dr. that sent me to a cornea Specialist. I will make sure my friends and family don’t go there.
My Family has been treated by Dr. Poll for several years in the South Ogden and Bountiful offices and have always been treated great by him and his staff. My 22 yr old son had to have PRK surgery and it has been wonderful for him! Everything was explained very directly which we appreciated. Look forward to many more years with Dr. Poll treating our family!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
