His assistant did my eye exam and I then waited for him for at least 30 minutes. He didn't appear to really "listen" to my concerns. During his exam, he dictated everything to his (other) assistant and never mentioned anything to me. He mentioned blepharitis to the assistant but said nothing to me. I was familiar with the condition. He told me to continue using the drops he'd told me to before for severe dry eye and left. I asked his assistant who stayed behind if I could have a copy of my prescription and her response was, "Dr didn't authorize it's release at this time". She opened the door and said "Let me show you back to the front desk". She was very unfriendly. Dr. Wilcox came across as arrogant and unconcerned. I will not be going back to him.

I had a stable prescription for my eyes that hadn't materially changed in over 15 years before moving to Utah. When it came time to do the LASIK surgery, Dr. Wilcox chose to install a prescription that differed from the stable prescription my eyes were accustomed to without telling me. I was not able to read clearly for almost two years after the surgery and my vision now is not as good as my corrected vision was before the LASIK surgery. Can not recommend.

I had been referred to Dr. Wilcox for eye surgery to remove a cataract, everyone in the office were so polite and helpful the doctor took time to explain the different procedures and set a surgery date , I'n the past I had had this procedure done at another location, I was not impressed, so I was very happy to find Dr.Wilcox , I can not say enough of how well the procedure went and how well I was treated! SPOILD was more like it, the staff at the hospital the anesthesiologist were all truly amazing ,they joked with me and when I expressed I was a little because I was given a stuffed animal, then I melted , Dr.Wicox will forever be our opthomologist and I will spread the word far and wide He and his staff are AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU THANKYOU THANKYOU ...LOOKING Forward to having my other eye fixed ,that another institution ...well flubbed up on ..So happy it can be fixed at the eye institute! Thanks all ! I owe you a tripple layer chocolate cake 😄

I spent 40 minutes wading through eye exams and questions, only to spend about 5 minutes with the doctor who didn't even bother asking about the symptoms I reported. ( so why ask? ) I was promptly shuffled to the front desk to schedule my next appointment.

When visiting a Doctor once should expect a little delay. Dr. Wilcox JUST completed cataract surgery on me (15 May 2018) and I cannot EXPRESS how GRATEFUL I am . . . for the first time since before the age of 11 (46 years) I don't need glasses! I love the staff of the Utah Eye Center in Bountiful, found them ALL very helpful, and their knowledge and caring attitudes made an anxious experience a pleasant one. My advice to ANYONE visiting a specialist - be patient.

I had been looking for a lasik surgeon because I hated wearing glasses and contacts. A friend referred me to Dr. Wilcox' office. I was able to schedule a consult with Dr. Wilcox, have a Lasik evaluation then have the actual procedure all within 2 weeks. My vision has been great ever since!! Dr. Wilcox is confident and friendly. He put me at ease, explained things well and answered all of my questions. He actually called me the night of my surgery to see how I was doing. Dr. Wilcox' staff is amazing. My experience from start to finish was fabulous! There was one tech in particular that I liked very much, she was knowledgeable and professional. I can't recall her name but she had long dark hair and has been working at the bountiful office for several years. I will continue to refer my family and friends to Dr. Wilcox.

My husband arrived at his appointment a few minutes early on the afternoon of September 3rd, 2014, SLC office, with all of his paperwork completed. He was shortly brought into a room where he was given eye drops to identify if he had glaucoma. The tech told him he'd be back in a few minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, when my husband heard the techs talking and laughing and not busy with patients, he asked them when he would be seen. He was told just few minutes and the techs and continued talking. After 30 minutes, my husband texted me to tell me he was leaving. I told him to hold on. I spoke with two people at the front desk. I told them that my husband was about to walk out, and once he left, he was not coming back. Still, no one came in to see my husband. I was told it was a busy office. If it was so busy, why did the techs, who are worth a dime a dozen in this city, have so much time to yuck it up? After waiting for 40 minutes, my husband left. He said he had lost all confidence in the doctor due to the way he runs his practice and the way his patients are treated like cattle. He walked back in to tell the staff NOT to bill Medicare for this non-appointment. They were all laughing when he re-appeared. We are now flying into Washington, DC for a simple cataract surgery so one of our friends, one of the leading Ophthalmologists on the east coast, can do this relatively simple procedure. When my husband had is pre-op appointment with Dr. Goldberg, he was in and out. I was the one who convinced him to have the surgery done here in Utah. Dr. Wilcox's back office staff makes Dr. Wilcox look incompetent. Too bad. I hope Dr. Wilcox sees this and takes the steps necessary to rectify the matter.
