Most caring doctor I have had
Amazing doctor!
I just went to see Dr. Beckstead today for Long Haul Covid stuff. I’d done a lot of research on what I was dealing with and what kinds of medications might help (from the Long Haulers Facebook group). Sometimes doctors hate this and disregard what the patient may have found on their own, but Dr. Beckstead took the time to go through each of the meds and which ones might help the most with my symptoms, which to try first and which we will try later, if it doesn’t work. He was WONDERFUL!!!! I appreciated his explanations of the medications and his willingness to listen! Unfortunately, I’ve run into a few doctors that just look at one symptom, then send me on my way. For instance, I told one doctor in January when I went to Instacare that my oxygen level was dropping down to 84 at night and I was very concerned. He took my oxygen reading and said, “Looks like you are fine now.” I tried to reexplain but he just blew me off and I went home, feeling like a hypochondriac or something. Dr. Beckstead listens with an open mind and I appreciate it! At the end of our visit, I even got teary because I finally felt heard. THANKS DR. BECKSTEAD!!!
Dr Beckstead is a great doctor. The problem with his practice is when you call in to make an appointment you have to leave a message on an answering service if they don't answer the phone. Two years ago in March my wife found a lump on her breast. It ended up being breast cancer and she had to endure a mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. She made repeated calls to get checked starting in March. The answering service returned her calls in June. That's when she had her initial exam. March to June. The cancer had gotten into her lymph nodes. It has been a nightmare.
He has been my doctor for many years. I feel like he is very knowledgeable and cares about my health. He is an awesome doctor.
Excellent doctor great personality.
Amazing doctor. Thorough, knowledgable, professional and great bedside manner. First Dr. to actually listen to me and help me get down to the bottom of my allusive disease.
I will NEVER visit this doctor's office again. EVER. The first time I visited, my appointment was at 4:45 p.m. I waited in the almost empty lobby for 45 minutes, then was moved to one of the patient rooms. Once inside the room, I sat there for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. I could hear Dr. Scott Beckstead in the room next to me speaking with another patient. They were discussing anything but the patients ailments - and were in there chit chatting while I waited. I then went out of my room and told the nurse that she needed to tell him to hurry because I had to leave at 7:30. She apologized and he came into my room: unapologetic. I then was sent to have an ultrasound and he wrote the order for the wrong ultrasound. I asked the technician why she did the ultrasound everywhere but where I was experiencing pain and she said she had to follow the orders. I was then sent back 2 more times. The third time, I kept waiting and waiting for the doctor or his staff to call me back with the results. After a few days, I called and was told by the receptionist that they would call me back that day. I received no call. I called the next day, once in the morning and once right before five, I didn't receive a call back. I called the next day, and I didn't receive a call until EIGHT DAYS LATER! I was told by Dr. Scott Beckstead that I would need a CT scan. I drove to his office 2 days later and picked up the order for my CT. I got clear home and opened the envelope with the order in it, and it was written for the WRONG thing AGAIN. I drove back to his office and made them fix the order - waiting for the nurse to bring it out to me after nearly 20 minutes. I had my CT scan on Monday, December 17th. I was told the doctor would have my results within 24 hours. I called Tuesday, I never received a call back. I called Wednesday morning, and never received a call back. I called Thursday (today) at 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:45 p.m., and 4:50 p.m. - I was assured by the receptionist that I would be called, after I explained to her my frustration with never getting calls back. It is now 6:00 p.m. and once again, I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN CALLED back from Dr. Scott Beckstead or his incompetent staff. I have never in my life, experienced anything like this. I should not have to chase down a supposed "professional" to give me my diagnosis. I shouldn't have to waste my time getting 2nd and third ultrasounds because he didn't write it correctly the first time. I shouldn't have to check my CT order to make sure it was written correctly. I typically praise those in the medical profession because they do so much for so many, and are unappreciated. However: This is the doctor's office from HELL.
Dr Beckstead has been my primary care for over 10 years so knows me well, yet over the last 2 years has been increasingly unavailable and inattentive to the dozens of specialists reports sent to him. When at an appointment he is so busy typing on the computer he RARELY even looks at you...just smiles and nods his head. SO DISAPPOINTED!
Dr. Beckstead is a good doctor. All of my visits have been professional and helpful. Thank you Dr. Beckstead.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
