Dr Ormsby is kind and always takes the time to explain my health issues. I’ve been seeing him for 5 years and I trust him

Dr. Ormsby was excellent. His friendliness and good humor as he offered post-colectomy oncological advise was much appreciated. Dr. Ormsby was very encouraging in his presentation and explanation of my blood-lab test results, which were excellent and very much improved since my colon tumor removal in April 2020. He was also very accommodating with his time and highly responsive to my personal requests. After performing a digital rectal exam (DRE), based on my high 9.8 PSA level, he was very generous in sharing his knowledge and well-calibrated recommendation to seek out area urological clinics for a prostate ultrasound and new prostate assessment that may suggest preparation for a second prostate biopsy to ascertain the presence of cancer.

I have never experienced so much rudeness during a doctor's office visit! If you're someone whose willing to do whatever you're told you won't have a problem with him, but if you want some say in what happens to your body, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere! I had recently had a mastectomy of my right breast with lymph node removal with a surgeon in American Fork who is so kind and skilled! She was aware that my cancer was estrogen driven and recommended I make an appointment with an oncologist to prescribe some Arimidex (an estrogen blocker) and I agreed. I had previously (prior to my surgery) scheduled an appointment with Dr. Ormsby and decided to keep this appointment thinking that I could ask him if he could assist me with this request. I first met with his assistant and explained that I wanted to try and heal my body naturally by completely changing my diet (since some of this effort in the past seemed to help, in fact my aggressive, fast moving cancer although it grew some, did not spread to other parts of my body in 21 months because I had changed my diet); however, I felt that I needed to make more healthy changes to have better results, and, my only reason for a visit with Dr. Ormsby was that I required a prescription of an estrogen blocker. This was relayed to Dr. Ormsby (via his assistant) and I was soon to realize that he vehemently opposed anything natural. The moment Dr. Ormsby entered the room, I felt tension. It didn't take long before he was "reading me the riot act". I explained that everyone I knew that had taken chemotherapy had died and that I wanted to try and get my body healthy. His voice became louder as I tried to explain that I was not interested in chemotherapy to the point where he was yelling! I told him I didn't want to argue, but he wasn't having any of it. Then he yelled that if I wanted him to treat me that I would have to do certain things and I asked him what that might be and in the commanding voice he was using during the entire conversation emphatically stated that I would have to make regular visits with him to which I responded that I did not have a problem with regular appointments. He then demanded that I if he's going to treat me that I have a scan for osteoporosis! At this point I just wanted to leave and told him I thought he was rude and that I did not want to do any treatment with him. As I started to leave, he became enraged and yelled out something like "IF YOU'RE DEAD IN TWO YEARS DON'T BLAME ME"!!! He then continued to follow me out the door calling out in a commanding voice sarcastically twice "GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!! As I exited the front office I heard him telling someone at the front desk that I was not interested in further treatment.

Dr Ormsby has been my Oncologist for over a year. He made a bad situation so much easier. He answered all our questions and concerns about my treatment in caring and professional manner. He got back to us promptly when we needed something. He has an amazing staff Bruce is awesome. Michelle, Megan and Wendy (Chemo nurses) were the best. I highly recommend Dr Ormsby! Scott Hess

My husband has been a patient of Dr Ormsby for a year now. He always treated us with respect and care. He answered all our questions, even the really hard ones, with honesty and compassion. Couldn't have asked for a better Dr to help us through this experience. We highly recommend him!

Dr Ormsby cares deeply for his clients. I would recommend anyone going through the difficult challenge of cancer to choose to make an appointment with him.

He is not an honest man. He tells the patient one thing, and then has the staff deny requests that were previously agreed to. Of course, on a friday afternoon when he is not available until the following tuesday. DO NOT go to this doctor. He is deceiving in trying to play Mr. Awe Shucks Nice Guy and then behaves like a complete jerk

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Ormsby. He is so caring and patient enough to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. I gave five stars across the board because he and his staff truly deserved them. Cancer is awful, there's no denying that, but working with Dr. Ormsby and the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists took a lot of the fear away because I knew that I was getting the very best treatment, tailored for my particular case. I knew that my concerns and questions would always be kindly and efficiently addressed. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ormsby.
