List of Granger Medical Clinic's Reviews
Clinic is fast and efficient! Will be returning again!
If you want to waste money and get nothing in return, this is the place for you!
I had been going to see Dr. Carrie Chandler for about 8 years. I started to go to her when I was about 14 years old for major bad cramps. I honestly hated going to see her. I felt uncomfortable and I felt like she didn't care about me. She just wanted me in and out as fast as she could. I have been on BC since I started going to her. My insurance wanted to me to get them through the mail instead so I had to send them a thing to get it approved.... well that took forever it took them 2 weeks to approve it. FYI my regular doctor took one day to approve it. They didn't understand what I wanted they had denied it. Said it went through it did not! I had the place that I was ordering it through call them. So after that I decided to go to a new OBGYN and I'm so happy about my decision.
Granger Medical has the worst billing department I have ever seen! Everyone in the billing department is completely incompetent, lazy, stupid, and unable to perform remedial math. Billing for me and my family has been wrong so often that I now expect to spend hours waiting on the phone or trying to explain to them how a statement is suppose to work. I had a doctor that I loved and did not want to change doctors. Recently due to the so called billing department I have left my doctor. Granger medical has several locations but only one main billing office for every location. No clinic no matter the location is safe. You will be forced to deal with an incompetent group of cackling women how just don't give a sh** if your bill is right or even already paid. They have sent me and my family members to collection agencies after the bill was already paid in full! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GRANGER MEDICAL EVER!!!!! You will regret it!!!
Dr. Layne Smith has been my OB for over a year and I am very pleased with the services he has rendered to me. He delivered my first born in March and we had a great experience. I used to work in the medical field and quality patient care means a lot to me, so when I am looking for a healthcare professional I make sure to do my research first. I highly recommend Dr. Layne Smith to anyone in search of an awesome OB!
Dr. Layne Smith has been my doctor for 2 of my babies. He always addresses my concerns and never rushes me out. Even when I have missed my appointments, the office calls and checks up on me. They are quick to schedule which is quite nice. When you arrive, you get called quickly to your appointment (2 hours for a routine visit with my first baby doctor at IMU!!)I feel lucky to have found Dr.Smith and would commend him to all my Friends!
Wow this place is so bad. The receptionist had to be helped to even check me in. The the doctor turns out not to be a doctor... and the real doctor has no time for the exam. Go to a real doctor dont waste time at Granger!
I've never written a review about a doctor before, but after my recent experience with Dr. Prater I feel that other people need to be warned about her unethical practices. I met her for a short new-patient checkup several months ago and shared a few minor health concerns with her (allergies, exercise induced asthma, trouble sleeping, and anxious feelings), in an effort to help her get to know me as a patient. One test was administered, and I promptly paid for that test. Five months later I received a bill for over $300. I assumed there was a mistake, as I only visited with Dr. Prater for a few minutes. I've never had a new-patient appointment (or any doctor's visit) cost that much. I was told that because I inquired about exactly five separate health issues, I was labeled as a "moderately high" patient, and was being billed as such. She charged me several hundred dollars for asking her a few questions. None of which was addressed in depth, I should add. Essentially, the more health problems you have, the more you pay per visit.I called and asked to speak with her several times without a call back. Finally a receptionist told me she had tried to call me, but that my voicemail box wasn't set up properly so she couldn't get through. This is absolutely untrue. I've had the same phone number for years, and receive voicemails regularly. I voiced my frustration to the receptionist, who told me in patronizing terms that it was my issue, not theirs, and if I choose to go elsewhere that's my decision. The office staff and Doctor have proved to be unprofessional, and in my opinion, unethical. I urge you to look elsewhere for a primary care physician. Also, the one time I called to see her after my first visit, because I thought I had an infection, I was told she couldn't see me for at least two weeks and go to urgent care. What's the point of having a doctor then?
Dr. Layne Smith delivered my identical twins by C-section over 18 months ago, and I've been trying to get around to writing this 5-star review ever since. But, twins are crazy! I finally made the time, because I have to rave about Dr. Smith. He came highly recommended, and I now know why. Throughout my pregnancy, his laid-back, unflappable demeanor constantly put me at ease. I am very high-strung about medical stuff and would not have done well with an alarmist for a doctor. Unlike a lot of my friends' doctors, not once did he raise a red flag about any part of my pregnancy. Granted, I had a pretty healthy and eventless twin pregnancy, especially considering my "geriatric" age of 43 when I gave birth. My age, by the way, did not phase Dr. Smith. He has seen it all. For every concern I raised, he had an anecdote or fact to make me feel better.I ended up having a C-section because both of my daughters were breech throughout my entire third trimester. I had never had any surgery in my life and was probably more nervous about it than if I had given birth vaginally. Dr. Smith was the calm presence that gave me the guts to go through with it, and during the operation, he was calm, cool, and collected to the hilt. It went quickly, was really no big deal at all, and healed better than I could ever have imagined. I barely have a discernible scar at all now.I continue to see Dr. Smith as an OBGYN and am so happy with him!
Sooooooo professional!!!! To start, there is actually more than one office, there's neurology, gynecology, and many more lolIt was a Wednesday afternoon, and there I was getting ready to see Dr. Johnson! The receptionist was very prompt and accurate as possible, if you're dealing with me expect some weird questions! Lol My appointment time was on point! I did wait for a few minutes because I need to complete my new patient info. The office is clean and everything is organized, people are friendly. So yes I highly recommend this place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
