List of Majid Moshirfar's Reviews
A good friend of ours works at Hoopes Vision as a doctor told us how this guy is sought out worldwide, even in Asia. It seems apparent while visiting with him that he is brilliant and his work comes as second nature to him. We felt the visit we had that we were in the best, (most intelligent) hands. I can’t think of any drawbacks. If I had to name one thing, he is quick and some people may not follow him. I recorded the visit on my phone, but we did understand everything he told us. Other reviewers may not have been fair on their assumptions and may not be able to judge what quality of a medical doctor. I have been doing this for years for a disabled child I have. Hands down, I feel comfortable. And no, he isn’t tying to “sell” anything. He very carefully made the examination and had a few concerns and warnings that he defined to us well. I can review once the surgery on my child is done.
I found him to be very money hungry and pushing upgrades instead of what was better for me. I cant recommend him and am glad I went elsewhere for my surgery.
Started seeing Dr. Moshirfar in 2000. I have multiple problems with my eyes and he gives me excellent. I have Sjogren’s that causes my eyes to be extremely dry. I have meibomiun gland dysfunction due Sjogren’s. Add keritokonus and glaucoma. He handles each problem thoroughly and with expert knowledge and skill. He is very pleasant and humble. I consider him my Savior of eye health because takes excellent care of me and makes my life livable. That is not an exaggeration!
This doctor was more concerned with selling a surgery than treating me as a patient. Became quite annoyed very easily when we are dealign with someones most precious sense, vision. Seems he is an ok surgeon but I wouldn't trust him as he seems to do a lot of things for money which I highly question if he would do on a family member. Im glad I got a second opinion.
I first went to see new eye doctor, Dr. Wapner, in Feb '19 because I had recently moved back to UT & he was my mom's eye doctor. Best decision I've made for my eye health, EVER! My eyesight had deteriorated dramatically over the previous 5 years, but my WA eye doctor didn't find any cause and did not see any reason for concern. Dr. Wapner immediately found a problem with my corneas and diagnosed me with Salzmann Corneal Nodules. The root cause was determined to be from upper eyelid entropion. First I had my eyelids fixed, then I was referred to Dr. Moshirfar to have the nodules removed from both corneas. This required two surgeries, one for each eye. Dr. Moshirfar answered all my questions and put me at ease. He has a very kind & gentle demeanor which was critical for me especially knowing he was going to have to scrape the nodules off of my corneas. His quiet confidence was most appreciated. Over the next 6 months following the surgeries my eyesight returned to what it was 8-10 years ago, and it has not deteriorated at all in the year following that. I will be forever grateful for the services Dr. Moshirfar provided. All of the doctor's involved in my eyesight recovery are top notch. I realize now that when it comes to your eyesight, only the highest level of care is acceptable regardless of cost.
I had LASIK surgery with Dr Moshirfar and he was able to correct me from “blind as a bat” & unable to find my glasses if they were knocked odd my nightstand to 20/20 vision. I had worn glasses for 25 years! Aprox 10 years later I developed a cataract and went to see Dr Moahirfar once again. He remember me from over 10 years ago. He was now at a different location and I had changed my last name so there wasn’t any way to link my two procedures. I have trusted Dr Moshirfar with my vision twice and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
Dr. Moshirfar has been my doctor for over 10 years. He is an internationally renowned expert and in many respects both a pioneer and the authority in the field in which he practices. He is thoughtful and kind. He genuinely cares for the well being of his patients. If you are searching for “the best” physician/surgeon in the field of Ophthalmology, you have fortunately found him. If his services are more expensive than others, then find a way to pay the difference. If the amount of time you have to wait to see him is longer than others, then you should wait. Trust me and all the others. The experience and the outcome will be well worth it.
Good salesmen but poor result. Hoopes vision are all salesman. Read the small print. Sneaky.
very good talker but need glasses still. not recommended
Still need glasses after cataract surgery. Upsold on multifocal lens and now driving at night is difficult.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
