Completely unhelpful! Wanted to argue about the difference between laboratories rather than help my daughter figure out what is going on medically. Condescending, rude, not interested in helping patients. Not good at asking questions or listening to what she was trying to tell him. If you want a Doc that cares about you...this is not your guy.

Don't waste your time, or health. Agree with sediments of the 1 star reviews. He was rude and condescending when I presented any questions in my appointment. He ignored former blood work diagnostics, despite my assuring he had it to review prior to the appointment. He was not going to move ahead and schedule me for surgery to treat a parathyroid condition. Instead he suggested I take vitamin D, and wait and see, as if hyperparathyroidism would go away. Any expert in this field knows what this condition is, and how to treat it. I knew my diagnosis going into the appointment, and needed to be scheduled for surgery. He was a touted expert, and the first endocrinologist I landed upon. I immediately switched to another endo doc, and got the care I needed.

Dr. Baldwin denied a referral after his fellow doctor in his office had accepted it. He was in network, however his partner was not. He denied the referral with no reason. To me this is unacceptable, he should at least give reason for the denial and give direction to the patient seeking care.

Dr. Baldwin and his nurse are great. They are knowledgable and explain everything in detail. I highly recommend them.

I can hardly believe some of the negative reviews about Dr. Baldwin. I have gone to him for six years now. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty and has been a fantastic doctor. I think some people who leave bad reviews expect a doctor to be their best friend and pal. Dr. Baldwin is very matter of fact and tells things like they are, and I think some people misinterpret that as gruffness or not caring. However, I deeply appreciate that quality in him--I want doctors to tell me how things are and not sugar-coat things. He is a wonderful person and a wonderful doctor. I highly recommend him.

I thought Dr Baldwin was a wonderful doctor. I was worried because he was the only endocrinologist that accepted my insurance and he didn't have good reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised. He was kind and courteous, very knowledgeable and courteous. I was concerned about some lab tests that I had and he explained everything thoroughly and mapped out a plan for the future. I would highly recommend him.

I went to Dr. Baldwin as a referral from my PCP who was concerned about feeling an enlarged Thyroid. My first visit I got the feeling as if he could care less about me, my concerns, or anything I had to say. He did an ultrasound and told me it didn’t look like anything to worry about, including Cancer, but that he would do a biopsy as requested by my PCP. The next visit he performed the biopsy and while doing so again reiterated that it didn’t look like anything, he felt he didn’t need to do the biopsy, and was nothing to worry about. A week later I had a follow up appointment with him to go over the results. I had something come up and called to reschedule that day. I was told I needed to come in. When I showed up , he sat down at his computer in front of me and told me that I had Thyroid Cancer. He turned his computer screen around to show me, told me I needed surgery, and if I had any questions to go to thyroid.org. I was shocked, and confused as to why he wouldn’t spend any more time with me. Anytime I had a concern, he blew it off, told me that I didn’t know what I was talking about when I explained to him what I was experiencing, and then refused to fill a medication when it went out. He is a horrible doctor, could care less about anyone but himself, and has zero personality. I wish I could give him zero stars. One is entirely too generous.

His office staff is amazing and are great to work with. Dr. Baldwin is difficult and doesn’t understand young people. He is gruff and impersonal. Anyone under 60 with Type 1 should go elsewhere.
