Dr. Ngatuvai is the best doctor I’ve ever had. I moved to Utah from California and had visited a couple of doctors within the last few years. I hadn’t felt comfortable designating one to be my primary care physician until visiting with him. He truly listens and addresses your concerns. He greets you with a smile and is very kind. I highly recommend him to all my family and friends. He’s provided excellent service for my wife and I. Dr. Ngatuvai is the best doctor I’ve ever had. If you are a woman or someone who struggles with mental health, this is NOT the doctor for you. Had a terrible experience here. After dealing with a major mental health crisis, the hospital I was treated at set this appointment up for me with the intention of having him be my primary care doctor. He hadn't bothered to look at any of my history, and when I was trying to explain what was going on he kept interrupting and talking over me. He was condescending and dismissive and told me that I don't have anxiety, I'm just a woman and we're just wired that way and that I need to stop relying on medication to "fix me". He has a poor bedside manner and does not listen. If you are a woman or someone who struggles with mental health, this is NOT the doctor for you. Had a terrible experience here. Quick, helpful, and mindful of costs. Good dude.
I miss being seen by Dr Ngatuvai! I live in LV NV, and wish I could get the care he provided to me when I lived in Lehi UT. Called me by name, and he took interest in me and the care he provided to me. I looked up his info for a life insurance application today, and felt I needed to share my opinion of him! One of the best I have seen, and again . . . I would go back to him in a heartbeat! - Bill I miss being seen by Dr Ngatuvai! Really great doctor. Great beside manner, very thorough & looks for solutions in vitamin deficiencies, etc. before going to a prescription solution, which I appreciate. I recommend him to anyone looking for a good old fashioned doctor with a smile, a listening ear, & a tender heart.
Worst place ever my husband went here and they didn't even let him know what was wrong with him the doctor told him this could be whats wrong but we don't know cause all your test were fine then gave him a shot that the doctor told him his insurance will cover and now trying to make us pay 110 for it when we try to talk to them about it they were very rude about it and saying it's our problome they are just in it for the money Worst place ever my husband went here and they didn't even let him know what was wrong with him the doctor told him this could be whats wrong but we don't know cause all your test were fine then gave him a shot that the doctor told him his … More
Edit: It was discovered my anemia was due to a softball sized uterine fibroid, as well as a baseball sized uterine fibroid and I needed a hysterectomy, not iron pills. Dr. Ngautvai ignored my complaints and didn't look into my anemia, thankfully a different doctor DID look into my anemia and my hysterectomy surgery was completed soon after. Be prepared to do your own doctoring. Dr. Ngatuvai diagnosed me as anemic and told me to take iron pills. No follow up was ever done, and three years later, when I went in for a different issue, it was discovered I was still anemic. I was anemic for OVER THREE YEARS. I began having menstrual migraines, I mentioned to Dr. Ngatuvai on at least three different visits that the migraines 100 percent follow my monthly cycle. All he wanted to do was give me muscle relaxers and a very painful injection for the migraine pain every three months, claiming my migraines were due to stress (I quit my stressful job a full year before the migraines began). I began researching myself and discovered three million women suffer the same problem, they were likely due to a decrease in estrogen and birth control often resolves the migraine problem. I guess Dr. Ngautvai believes three million women are just stressed? My husband mentioned to Dr. Ngatuvai about five years he noticed a decrease in urine flow and Dr. Ngatuvai’s response was “as long as you can still urinate I’m not worried about it.” Fast forward to just a few months ago when my husband had a 2 millimeter kidney stone that he couldn’t pass. In the world of kidney stones, 2 millimeters is pretty small and shouldn’t have any complications. It took THREE E.R. visits getting the stone to pass because it completely blocked off his urine flow and he was unable to urinate for 12 hours. Come to find out it was due to a stricture that if Dr. Ngatuvai had looked into instead of poo-pooing my husbands complaint that he noticed a problem, we could have saved at least one of those E.R. visits (when the stone completely blocked off his ability to urinate) and all the time off work he used waiting for the thing to pass. Dr. Ngatuvai is a nice person, but he is a complete pill pusher and is only in the medical field for the money, NOT healthcare. I would give less than one star if that were an option. Dr. Ngatuvai was abrupt, rude, and couldn't have cared less about my concerns. When I asked about a hernia, he never checked and said I was just over-weight. When I asked about my knee (I had recently injured it) he said probably osgood schlaughters from when I was young. I asked about contraindications on a couple of meds I was taking he never answered. When I got home I discovered on the web that use of both of them together should be discontinued immediately. Winning smile and a fantastic front office could never persuade me to return.
I wouldn’t recommend going to him for anything that you’re not already certain about. I don’t normally see him so this might just be an off day but he didn’t seem particularly competent to me. I mainly needed to refill a prescription, but then after he ordered the meds I brought up some other medical concerns and getting any input from him was like pulling teeth.
Sometimes he helped well, mostly it was not bad.. but not great either. Didn't seem to understand the conditions I had that were more complicated and needed more care and attention. But basic things like a cold or flu he wasn't too bad:

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
